  1. I can see it from the scratches on the end of the slide catch's shaft that you are also having problems field stripping the Talon without tools! I've replaced it with a 1911 slide catch which has a rounded end.
  2. It's rather werid! Which CNC kit is that? Where can I get it?
  3. Exactly. I tried to build a 4.3 from scratch too. But when I realized that the inner frame is on stock at TokyoModel, but the rear small part of it which screws onto the hammer and sear is not, then I realized that if I buy all the tiny stuff from 4-5 different stores, I'll easily end up spending out the price of a new donor gun. And still there are many parts (like the leaf spring that pushes the hop rubber) is practically impossible to get anywhere.
  4. You might be right, I never had any of those in my hands before, just guessing from the pics they have tritium capsules installed.
  5. Thanks for the confirmation on this. I'm planning to fit the sights on an RWL Talon, and I think the front one won't fit at all, as the cut for the sight is placed so forward on the slide that this front blade would protrude towards the front too much. So I'll might just pass the front blade and the tritium experience.
  6. Really pretty one mate! I'm just about to come up something quite similar shortly. The Nova extended slide stop is really impossible to find unfortunately! I just ordered the same Detonator 10-8 sight but please confirm: is the rear sight really lacking that small lever that all the MEU rear sights have? I googled this sight and other than the fact I'm crazy for its shape, the lack of that lever allows me to install a lightweight BBU without machining it to fit an MEU rear sight.
  7. And what a shot and pistol that is! Thanks for posting!
  8. Or at least something commander sized without a rail! Just wanted to start a project but there aren't any CNC kits I could find in the size either.
  9. It does make sense in a unique manner! LOL I'm makin eyes with this kit for a while now, I guess I'm gonna have one in my inventory soon (the first Kimber). I just don't know if the kit's magwell is sturdy enough or should I buy a Nova one with it.
  10. You can check his products here: http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsoft/custom_parts As RM said they are mostly Prog4 products but as you are in the US, I thought it would be more convenient for you than an HK company. Moreover you can have the same "NIGHTHAWK MATCH 45ACP" engraved for your taste and fitting really shouldn't be a problem. Crowning won't be a problem for anyone regularly using a lathe I believe! If you are interested, I will send you Brian's e-mail in a pm. He also has a very good stainless slide catch with has a 1911 style rod with a rounded end and not the flat ended one th
  11. Is this the Hurrican Kimber Tactical Entry II CNC kit? It looks kinda blueish. Is it, or is it just my display playing tricks? Does the magwell tend to get loose during skirmishes?
  12. I love these crowned barrels too, but I don't think the RWL Talon's barrel would look the way it should crowned, because the wall of it at the muzzle end is just so thin that you won't really get the looks of the crowning. I have an RWL Talon too, but I'll go with a stainless barrel for sure. You should try Illusion Kinetics' stainless barrels, they are non tilting ones so won't contact the slide, therefore should be an easy fit.
  13. You saved me from a few sweaty nights (was just about to do the same) with that sentence and thanks for that!
