  1. Yeah I always just use a pipe cutter on brass barrels. My ratech I had to make the mark then use a dremel. To crown take a 5/16 ( I believe, have to check) and hand turn it to crown the barrel
  2. It does slightly, realy you get more of the "hiss" that a real gun makes with a can. For an example of what I mean look for the level zero Heros vid where they are behind that long burm with a bunch of block 2 m4s using kac cans. Edit: here you go When I can get on my desktop I'll post the vid from my gun
  3. It all depends if you want to run a can at all. If yes you could use a reg birdcage and a kac can or use the SF or any other qd type can.
  4. A few pictures from doing drills in the blizzard we had in the eastern us. Lighting kinda sucks and for some reason my camera was acting up and I couldn't get the laser to show in a full beam.
  5. These count right? Blizzard, playing in the snow.
  6. I guess this is the best place for this pic. Big blizzard here on the eastern us so I took some pics
  7. Exactly, I've found that the little grey stone/cone shaped dremel bits worked best. The tip is the perfect width for the groove and realy easy to use for the fine curve/ lengthening the slot for the peg. On my mk18 lm4 the outer is just shy of the ris (i need a 1inch ccw to ccw extdnsion ..)so the bottom of the break is hidden. If you run it like that the you could just make the ring for the bearings.
  8. Ha one of those things lights up an entire first floor of a building
  9. On the two I did the nub tapers down at the bottom so realy the peg in the can will stop short due to this. It's not a problem though as you can see how far mine slid on. Yes it should lock into the two ported holes and I'm going to see if it actually will if I take out the two bottom bearings. Never thought of it before but the seem to line up, you can feel them catch. If it does then it's more simple of a job than ever and all you would have to do is remove two bearings. Again the two mb556k breaks ive had we're the angel custom one from evike and the crusader version which Is the one seen i
  10. A regular old blue sharpie paint pen is what I use or a random blue one from walmart. People actually constantly give me about numbering my stuff. For me it's more of a " if It has 018 on it in blue it's mine" . I have it on everything somewhere even my helmet and thunder bs. EDIT: these are what your after or similar http://m.sharpie.com/enUS/Pages/oil-based-paint-marker-fine-point.aspx
  11. Some of the flash hiders are better than others. The first one I modded was the one off evike. It was pretty soft aluminum so the job was easy, the one I have now in the crusade tone which seems to be steel. I'm going to grab my old one from my buddie and write up a tutorial. Don't know if I even want the can on my mk18 anymore so not sure if I want to mod this one. I'll say this, the scoring the line with a pipe cutter is key or you will have an off groove. The other way to do it would just be to drill indents for the balls to click into.
  12. For now. In its final config glory Better non iPhone pics later And just a tease, this may be the second one I mod to fully work. The notch does lock into the peg inside without any modding. All that's left is making the groove for the bearings to lock into. Realy simply put, mark where they should be, take a pipe cutter and just score the line, take a dremel and grind out the ring. And you have yourself a sf can on a mb556k
  13. My kill flash on my t1 has saved the glass on countless occasions. No one needs a shattered t1 like what has happened to every eotech I've owned lol
  14. I don't get it either, though I do now have a msa sling mount right behind my t1. Sounds random but I have a hk hook on a loop of webbing on the front bottom of my 6094. I can hide it and then clip my gun to my chest when needed. Weapon catches never worked for me .

The new vfc one is out, full trades
  16. Just beat on it like mine and it will be shine less in no time....... Or paint the whole thing like us tacticool folks. The mk18 ris off the vfc mk18 mod1 is the best match I've seen color wise from a replica. Too bad I can't just find the rail >
  17. Cpl hicks I'll post pics once I get my camera back but all I had to realy do was grins the "notch" deeper to fit around the nut inside the can. Then make the hole slightly bigger to click into the bearings inside the can
  18. Idk If I posted this but I'm pretty sure it's my final mk18 mod 1 config. Kwa lm4 Madbul dd mk18 ris Rs moe stock Bcm gunfighter grip Vfc peq15 Replica minis sf scout light Both run off a real sf double switch Aim micro T1 Stubby fore grip( replaced with afg 2) Bunch o' xdms Vfc kac front and rear buis Madbul mini 5.56 sf can modded to fit mk556 flash hider. Next lm4 build I'd a sr635 for my pts, just have to find someone to cut/ tethered mt outer to 7.5 so I can half hide a kx3
  19. Blue locktight is what you want, red becomes pretty perminant once it sets fully. As for the mags, I could never get my g&p pmags to hold gas once they started to leak. With these it's pretty simple. The one of mine that leaked was due to a dry oring, which I then crushed by over tightening the valve. Quick swap of orings from a reg gbb pistol valve and I've had zero problems since. I've had good results with frog lube as well, though I only have used it on the bolt so far, everything else gets a light coat of 30 wt silicone everywhere else
  20. In all honesty I haven't had a aeg be more reliable which is prob just bad luck but I've owned a lot. My hop up problem was an easy fix, and I just now 6k rounds in might have to do the bolt catch mod that's if its not just the followers needing to be cleaned and lubed like last time. I've had one mag leak and it was a 50/50 problem. Half a dry oring and half me crushing it by over tightening the valve. Again an easy fix that cost me nothing since the largest oring off a glock valve fixed the problem. Besides minor things it's preformed flawless and there's nothing like the bolt locking a
  21. Youay start to get receiver wobble once you've broken the gun down a few times. Easiest fix is a little foam earplug under the rear takedown pin. I did the tape method and has jams every other mag. Haven't had one since the earplug
  22. You will thuroughly love it, I still haven't picked up an aeg since I got mine and it officially hit the 1k club today
