  1. Interesting you mention that because the last shot on either of my mags wont cause any blowback at all, it just kinda farts out the bb. I think it may just be that the valve delayer is busted. You wouldnt happen to know what part number it is do you? Im looking at the parts diagram on KYAirsoft and im not sure quite which one it is. A19 maybe? I also have a similar issue on my we m84 where the the gun light strikes and I'd be willling to bet its more or less the same reason.
  2. Has anyone experienced theirs having light strikes or weak blowback? Mine seems to get like, one good shot, followed by sort of... Bleh shots. Sometimes it doesnt even cycle the slide. From my initial inspection i dont see anything obviously broken or missing though, so im not sure.
  3. So after a nearly month long wait, i was greeted this morning by a package on my doorstep. Seems it was delivered a bit early, on a sunday no less. I could tell immediately on opening the box why it had spent so long in the HKPost. It had clearly spent quite some time going through all the red tape. After removing all the tape and glue residue, Ive had some time to mess around with it today. And have my initial impressions after a couple hours of emptying mags. Overall my impressions are 'Meh'. Its not great, its not awful. Its about what I would expect for a ~100 USD gun. It s
  4. The checkering didnt come out perfect, but for my second attempt i think theyre great. The gunline beginner's set i bought only came with four tools and theyre not enough to do anything too complicated. So the borders are a bit gnarly, i had to do the corners with a sharp screwdriver. I might pick up a couple additional tools soon.
  5. Here is my Dan Wesson 715 with my own hand made wooden grips, I patterned them like a s&w m29 like some of the older dan wesson grips. Theyre made of common american walnut, and are the second time ive tried checkering by hand.
  6. Finally finished the OA93. Woo. I even did another video to show it working.
  7. Its not quite finished yet, but I'm doing a WE based Olympic Arms OA93. Once i have it all done i think i'll make a proper thread for it, but i think its looking pretty good so far. Alot of planning, machining and testing went it to making it work properly..
  8. Looks like they copied the buffer out of the ghk ak's. Probably not a bad idea. I imagine it saves the pot metal parts from shattering.
  9. Man. Im really sad to hear that the APS shells are going the way of the dodo. I pretty much learned to machine making different guns that fired those things. Ive started making regular GBBs now but I had planned for my next design to be a semi automatic APS. Hell, I even bothered to sit down and draw a schematic for it which I almost never do. Kinda seems pointless if the shells are going to be discontinued though. I mean, I guess I could design it around PPS shells but they hold so few BBs comparatively. Well, there goes that I guess. Edit: I might still make one more APS launcher
  10. Dunno where else I would put this so I figure this thread is the best place. Heres a shooting demonstration for the final version of my WE M4 kwc uzi mag conversion. A Colt DOE carbine. still essntially the same as the old 9mm build but much shorter, and with some tweaked intnerals that work a lot better. The only thing I may consider doing now is making a BCG from 7075 aluminum to see if I can get more gas efficientcy out of it. right now its only slightly more efficient then the KWC uzi is. It can get about a mag and a half from one c02 capsule.
  11. Wow, it's really a shame they ruined the new 4" model with the world's ugliest rail. I would have bought a 4" even though I own 2 of the 6" models. That rail is really atrocious. It doesn't fit the shape of the barrel at all.
  12. So, heres the final destination of my WE to KWC mag conversion. It took a long time but I finally built a gas blowback Colt 633 "DOE carbine" aka Briefcase model. Due to a slight mishap with underestimating the thickness of the paint, the current barrel is unpainted, but will be once it stops snowing. the paint had to be removed to fit it and now i have to turn it down just slightly so it works with the paint. Unfortunately the paint also takes a week to cure and i am the least patient man in the world. So unpainted steel barrel it is! Im really glad to have gotten this build don
  13. KWA m226 PTP with a slide I customized with forward slide serrations and had cerakoted. Unfortunately the kwa markings are so faint to begin with that they were almost entirely filled in, but whatever. There used to be a model like this on Sigs website but I can't seem to find it on there anymore unfortunately. And now I can't remember what it was supposed to mimic, other then that there was a P226 offered in this configuration as of early last year. Maybe someone remembes what it is. In the picture the serrations look a bit off angke cause of how I was holding my phone, but in person
  14. Here's my TM, finally reassembled after sitting around for nearly 3 years waiting for paint. But I did send it off for cerakoting and finally have it back. It started with a guarder black metal kit, which I never really liked. But now it's a satin stainless which is my favorite finish for them. Odd thing, when I bought the original TM, it was massing the E clip that holds the slide catch pin in place. I had made a replacement at the time but now it's nowhere to be found. Does anyone know what size E clip it uses so I can just buy one?
  15. Though I have posted this before, I just got this back from being cerakoted. Well, the lower was cerakoted anyway. I didn't want to paint an original LE SP1 upper. So here's my custom GBB Colt SMG again, now with nice paint! I think the lower matches as well as it's every likely to using paint. I recently machined new internals for some of the conversion parts out of steel so now it's functioning much better then it had been. The aluminum parts were wearing very quickly. and now I'm debating whether I want to refinish the selector and pins, or if I like them worn looking.
  16. I just ordered one of these on a %25 off sale and am expecting it early next week. Can anyone tell me about the sturdiness of the hopup chamber? Ive had several Ghk AKMs, the 2014 versions if I recall, and they had severe problems with the hopup units cracking and unsolvable jamming issues. It kind of put me off of GHK for a long time. I still have one that jams at least a few times per mag. So I'm a bit leery on yet another potential wall hanger, but the price was too good to pass up. So has anyone had any issues with that? I'm not opposed to just ordering a better hopup unit and putt
  17. I cant recall if I ever posted this. Its a Wingun Nagant with a custom short barrel. (With a terrible paintjob). I also did a semi decent fixed hopup on the inside. Still shoots way too hot for field use though which is a shame.
  18. yeah the real one does, from what i understand, unless you have one of the real early open bolt versions. but yeah, its does stop firing so i think thats good enough. there really just is no way to do it using a kwc mag. Im just glad it works really.
  19. Nah it has to be short stroked cause the BCG has to be cut to fit around the Uzi mag and the full travel would lock the BCG behind the trigger. So it just stops by smacking the nozzle into the follower like the kwc does. I would have to make an entirely different bolt carrier in order to fix that. Which I might try eventually. Actually on second thought that still wouldnt make the bolt lock back. Theres nothing in the kwc mag that could actuate the bolt stop, so theres really no way to even do it without a different, or very modified magazine.
  20. well, since the we fits a RS upper that made my life a lot easier. And the fcg sitting in its own box makes it so much easier to modify. I think any other system wouldve taken a load more work.
  21. i machined a custom loading nozzle. Along with a bunch of other parts.
  22. Just wanna put this here, my latest custom WE AR. I dont wanna go into too much detail since I already have a thread on it, but yeah. Boom, Colt 9mm smg. takes kwc mini uzi mags. This is the reason I love WEs over every other airsoft AR platform. you can do *anything* with a WE.
  23. I went ahead and took some videos of the WE Colt smg, now that Ive sorted some of the feeding issues. It still jams sometimes but it cooperated for the video. Its probably skirmishable at this point. More so then my vfc mp5s at least. The first video got cut off in the middle, so I took another video. Unfortunately I had already dumped half the mag so the second video shows it a little more sluggish. Its more gas efficient then the kwc mini uzi is, but not by too much from what i can tell right now. Ill need to actually count shots at some point. second video:
  24. I'd consider it if the price is right. It can't really be done as a kit since the receiver needs modification. Alao I highly doubt I'll be coming across any more slickside uppers so it might have to be a more modern railed type.
  25. Well, I don't have a video, because I'm still trying to make it work good. It currently only "works". It's going to take a lot more time and tuning to have it work at a skirmishable level. Right now it jams quite often and the blowback is a bit unreliable. It does fling BBs though one after the other until it inevitably hits a hiccup. I do have a picture of the internals though.
