    WE P-38

Well, I just got to use the p38 in a few cqb matches over the weekend, and I have to say it did not disappoint. I found it to be highly accurate, and at least for me, it pointed incredibly well. Maybe it's just the long barrel, but I found I was able to line up targets much more quickly then usual. I found myself taking single shots at enemy players rather then the 2-3 I would normally take. Because I usually use a Beretta in games, the controls all felt natural, and I didn't really mind the heel release. It actually seemed to make my reloads faster. Once I get a few more mags, this ma

    WE P-38

The WE P-38,The first *actual* full metal airsoft replica of the walther P-38, has at long last landed in my hands. I have been excited about this gun from the day that WE teased about it, showing the prototype in the white along with the M84, Makarov and P99. These are my initial impressions of it. While I understand that the P38 has been available for months, I was not a fan of the cheap looking "Blue" version, and so I waited for it to be available in normal black. There are some "Blue" parts to even the black P-38, and seeing the finish on them, Im very happy I waited. I will say that
  3. What is the reason exactly for it loading 5 shots instead of 6 anyway? Mine was one of the first batch in the US and it did that out of the box. Because of that and the really unstable feeling barrel I stopped using it in favor of a cam870. And it's sat in the closet ever since. I don't suppose there's any fix for that wobbly as hell barrel while we're at it too, is there?
  4. furniture mostly. nothing internal. though the stock mounting bolt is metric.
  5. No, No and No. In that order.
  6. Looks great dude! Is that cnc'd or is that manual machining?
  7. You might need to upgrade the hop up unit eventually, because the ghk has a tendency to destroy its hop up unit if there is a misfeed or double feed.
  8. I know that I'm just waiting to see when WE releases the new mags they showed that have the correct curvature. Once those are out I think it will be time to retire my vfc mp5. It is a shame I won't be able to dress the WE up as an mp5a3 with the SEF lower though.
  9. I have a real slim handguard on mine, so yes, RS foregrips work fine.
  10. I'm afraid you might be out of luck, assuming you have the same version and not the kwc, I don't think spare shells for them were ever distributed. Hell, the guns themselves didn't seem to have more then one very short production run. Probably because they all broke after a few days.
  11. My VFC was basically a paperweight out of the box, but with a few upgraded parts its now one of my more reliable guns. So while I wouldn't recommend one for a beginner, they can certainly be made to be reliable and accurate. Mine practically shoots laser beams for a gbb, though I did eventually change the hopup to an aftermarket one that takes AEG buckings, mostly because I didn't trust vfc's mystery metal. I think the major issue I had was the loading nozzle and feed ramp. Once I changed those out for crusader ones, all of the jamming problems disappeared. Not gonna lie though, it was a r
  12. I might just pick up a few since they're so cheap. If they have the quantity, I wouldn't mind shipping a few overseas for the shipping cost. At $1.99 I don't even care about the cost of the grip.
  13. a RS grip should indeed work, as i have seen KSCs with wooden grips already. Also, you can get a wooden grip for $1.99 USD. so not a big investment if it needs work.
  14. There is no noticeable flex anywhere in the gun really. The plastic is quite thick, especially by the mag well. Its very, very sturdy. For a plastic gun, that is.
  15. No. I actually covered that in my relatively short first impressions. The rate reducer is cosmetically present. The spring and plunger are in the grip, and the plunger even portrudes into the receiver. However, rather then having the catch and knocker that a real reducer has, its only a aluminum buffer with a rubber pad. So the plunger system doesnt do anything (Normally it would unlock the bolt, but nothing catches the bolt). So the reducer is only there for completion's sake I guess. However, the existing buffer seems to stop the bolt before completing its full travel, if one were to mak
  16. The KWA skorpion has been an anticipated release for a lot of people waiting for something a bit easier to obtain the a Maruzen Vz61. I finally was able to pick one up 2 days ago, and put it through its paces at a reaction course. Onto some common questions, no the gun is not full metal as some have claimed. And no, the frame is not metal either. The gun is entirely made out of rather heavy plastic.with the exception of the locking bracket for the stock, various pins and switches, and the outer barrel. It is, however, very heavy. It doesn't *feel* like the average plastic gun. So whil
  17. There was also the question at my field of the wadding making the gun fire over the field FPS limit (It likely is, all things considered). Since its more or less impossible to chrono something like that, we just had to go by people complaining that it hurt too much. Rather then try to argue it I just figured hell, use the paper towels and no one will complain. And so far no one has. Though its still great seeing people literally jump out of the way when they see the APS pointed at them.
  18. Ive had better results at my field using wadded up wet paper towels rather then wads, as it increases the spread at short distances, and doesn't require wad retrieval. so there's always that option as well.
  19. Does anyone know what size O-rings go inside the APS shells? a few of mine have sprung leaks due to nicked O-rings and I have no idea what to replace them with. And I would also rather not pay $10 for 5 O-rings..
  20. Both of those grips look incredibly painful to use...
  21. Interesting. Looks like they designed that specifically as a replacement pin judging by the set screw, as the original firing pin.. cup.. thing is press fit on, which would normally make it impossible to replace without the machinery and fittings to press the cup on. Looks like enough of them broke for APS to redesign it to be user replacable.
  22. I dont own a WE but I can tell you how you do it on a Real or VFC Mp5. If you have an SEF type lower, all you need to do is take the frame off the receiver, rotate the selector up past safe and then you should be able to slide the selector axle out. then the trigger pack just slides out of the frame. If you have an ambidextrous selector, the you will first have to remove the right side of the selector before you can rotate and remove the selector axle. Im not sure how WE hold their selector on, but a VFC is held on with a spring detent that you have to push in. Which is a pain. There m
  23. They had sent me a whole replacement so I didnt even care that I had broken one of the screws on the original one. But, Interestingly a real 870 doesnt have the bolt screwed onto the carrier at all. it just sits on top of it. I wouldnt be surprised if the screws were completely unneccesary.
  24. If they Arent sending you a whole new bolt, just make sure you heat up the screws with a butane torch or something before trying to get them out. they're loctited in, and I managed to actually break one of the screws before realizing that (Felt like it was turning, was just the head breaking off) Also, does anyone know a good way of removing the backs of the shells? I have a couple that have become leaky and they really dont want to come apart.
  25. Mine was still under warranty so they only charged me $18 for shipping. Im not sure what the cost of the part is outside of warranty.
