  1. email them, hats how I got my replacement.
  2. I wouldn't think the firing pin or shell latches would work, but I expected that the charging arms would work. That's a bit of a disappointment since those always seem to be a weak spot on AirSoft shotguns. Odd though considering how some people have fit real shell lifters and triggers. That made me expect more parts to fit I guess. I'm still wondering if any other trigger pack components will work. I have started working on a design for a replacement firing pin that is screwed together rather then pressed. With two steel screws on the ends of a brass or aluminum shaft (my mill cant ha
  3. sounds like that would be relatively easy to fix with a small round file. Im not sure exactly how it looks now but if you disassemble the bolt and remove the material from the path of the firing pin, it should fix it.
  4. To be honest the WE stock internals tend to last so long that there's very little reason to upgrade them. The roller can come out of the hammer but it can be retained with a small machine screw and nut. Ive done this on a friends fcg and it has worked with no issues. You just have to make sure they fit inside the bolt cutout.
  5. Just go to the art section at any bigger store and get some bristol board. It should work fine I would think. Also the chances of a real firing pin working are incredibly slim, since the APS cartridges don't work like a real shell. Real firing pins are made to detonate a primer and so are fairly pointy. Even if it somehow did fit the bolt, it would likely just destroy the shells when it hits the valve release and peens it out.
  6. I can never get over how the contours of those stocks only barely match those of the receiver. its looks sort of like if someone glued legos to an M870. To each his own though. How did you manage to break your firing pin btw? Im just wondering if it happened like mine, where it happened through dry firing.
  7. If you changed it out and nothing happened then it isnt your trigger box. Its likely something related to either the nozzle and flute valve assemble, or your magazines. To a lesser extent you could also be loosing compression at the hopup bucking which apparently can have an effect on blowback. Also clean it out. a lot. disassemble it completely and completely clean the bolt, the inside of the upper receiver, and inside the buffer tube.
  8. No, the inner barrel is the full length of the barrel including extension.
  9. don't LCT make AEG AK receivers too? I would think they could be a different size.
  10. Can anyone yell me how to take off the selector? Or at least how to tighten it? The part that connects on the inside is a little loose so its not moving off the auto sear when its in semi. It doesnt seem worn at all, just loose.
  11. Real steel shell latches are unlikely to work since they are welded into an m870 receiver, just get the APS ones.
  12. If your planning on using the 870 at close range, just use some damp paper towel instead of a plastic Wad. The spread will be wider and you won't have the heavy Wad hitting anyone. And you don't need to buy wads. The spread using a small wadded up paper towel is more then suitable for close range.
  13. well, The mags tend to misfeed, and the hopup units self destruct, so theres that.
  14. Yes, I had 3 hop ups break in that same way. Its happened usually when the gun jammed. I replaced the hop up with a metal chamber to alleviate the problem. It doesn't break now but it jams so frequently that the gun is unusable. I've never been able to figure out why it jams or how to fix it.
  15. Well, APS is sending me a replacement free of charge so thats pretty cool. Cant really complain too much after that i guess. But considering how quickly mine broke, I have to assume it was just a lemon.
  16. At least yours works. Mine broke after a matter of hours and cant be fixed without new parts.
  17. Well, I got my Cam870 SF last night.. and the firing pin broke almost immediately. I guess I got a lemon. Ive contacted but APS and the retailer to see if I can get a replacement bolt for it, so heres hoping thats a possibility.
  18. You can use .68 caliber rubber ball rounds. they should fit in the shells fine. I dont even think you need a wad
  19. I use a RS plastic carbine buffer in my M639 carbine build (An original 60's one, no less). Kick is pretty good and I haven't had any issues with gas consumption. I think they still use plastic buffers for some AR-15 types so it might be worth looking into those.
  20. That shouldn't technically be possible unless something with the shell lifter is messed up. Did you do anything with the trigger pack at all? Alternately, you could have bent one of the shell retainers, which are those small metal arms on the underside of the receiver. Edit: Its almost certainly the shell retainers. They're probably bent out of shape
  21. Yes. It doesn't work. Which is good in my book since slam firing to me seems more like a malfunction then a feature. Cant hit anything firing that way anyway.
  22. So I got to handle one today at a friend's place and I ordered one immediately when I got home. Funny thing I noticed though. On the shorty 870, theres a notch on the bolt that doesnt seem to be there on the full sized one. I wonder if thats some kind of revision they made between the two models.
  23. looks like that would be an easy enough piece to make on a mill.
  24. well, I know when I get mine the first thing I'll do is disassemble, clean and relube it. So I can see wanting to take it apart to its individual groups. Strange that there seems to be a bolt retainer though, normally the carrier and bolt should just slide out on top of the charging arms. But removing the trigger guard first makes the process easier even on the real one, and that's how Ive always done it in the past.
  25. I'll be honest, Im planning on selling my TM870 shorty. After using it for skirmishing, I can really say it doesn't perform the way I would personally want a shotgun to perform. I haven't had any major mechanical issue with mine, other then the fact that 6 shot never worked. Out of the box it only fired 5, so the nozzle was shipped busted. But Im just overall not very impressed with it. The entire assembly of the gun is wobbly and feels as if it wants to fall apart, theres barely any spread so its use in CQB has been better served using a pistol, and having been a user (And tinkerer) of th
