  1. I would imagine that the dremel was needed in order to make room to accommodate the .920" bull barrel, as most of these kits are made fro the standard tapered barrel. Also the receiver has a stock tang whereas a real 1022 does not. I had to make similar modifications in order to fit tone into my Muzzelite stock.

    KJW M4

I think the KJW lost popularity because of its reputation for poor materials. Especially now with all the choices for GBB M4;s, not many people are likely to buy one that has a receiver that will break. I know after mine broke and KJW refused to ship me a new upper, I swore I'd never buy one again.
  3. OK, So, I can confirm that full auto SEF HK lowers definitely work with the VFC parts: It was basically a drop in fit. I only needed to clip the shelf to Mp5 length, and do a tiny bit of filing in the front. It works perfectly. Planeman, I think you might have gotten a semi-auto frame. Those have blocks in them to prevent you from installing FCGs as far as I know. You need an auto frame, Like I said, its essentially a drop in fit. Edit: Oh, also forgot to mention that the HK selector works as a drop in as well. No modification necessary at all.
  4. wait, so it will or it wont fit if you mod it? Also that one there on the right looks like a semi auto fcg..
  5. Ah screw it. The stripped frame cost $15, and a pistol grip was another $5, so I just went ahead and ordered it. I figured for $20 Im not out much even if it doesnt work. Now, that said, It is an old HK91 frame. But those can be modified slightly to work on real HK94s and Mp5s by reducing the rear shelf length by 7/8 of an inch. The only actual different parts that cant be modified on an HK91 full lower are the ejector and the hammer spring. Replacing those two parts make them fully useable on HK94s. I figure the biggest problem I might run into are the overall inner width of the HK91
  6. Anyone know if Real Steel frames will work with the VFC Mp5? Ive found a great deal on a stripped, old school steel frame (The one with the plastic pistol grip separate). And Im just wondering if it will fit. Its a Full auto SEF type so all the marking positions are the same..
  7. The lower was from an older WE closed bolt that I converted. WE used to have trademarked versions and they went through a couple of different colors, apparently. This one happened to be dark colt grey rather then black. It matched the Bushmaster upper quite well.
  8. I had to fix a few LM4s that were having bolt catch problems. I noticed that it was more common that the bolt itself had become rounded in the area that it catches. So you might want to flatten that section on the bolt out a little bit too.
  9. I checked out the AKG about a week ago at the local shop where I do tech work. I initially thought it felt fairly decent, But I thought it to be *way* too light for an AK74M. The pistol grip also felt a bit skinny even for a regular AK, and I wonder if that wasnt made out of spec on purpose ( I could be mistaken here, as my GHK with RS furniture wasnt there at the time to compare). Also a quick look at the loading nozzle and follower didnt bode well, for me. The loading nozzle was reinforced with a metal tip it seemed, ala the LM4. However, the followers on the magazines still seemed to be mad
  10. Does anyone know how to tighten the buffer on the Mp5 collapsible stock? Mine seems to have become a bit wobbly over time and I want to tighten it up but its not very obvious how that is done.
  11. So, It seems like a lot of people have figured out how to disassemble this by now. Can someone explain how to take off the barrel once the internals are taken out of the body? Ive been trying to figure this out without breaking it but no luck so far.
  12. Ive noticed with mine, not only do I get less fluctuations in blowback speed, but there is nearly no wobble in the magazine anymore. With the bolt open or closed. Overall I'm very happy with the new ramp so far. The plastic construction was a bit disappointing though. I wish they offered something similar in aluminum or steel.
  13. Oh, my mistake. I wrote hopup instead of feed ramp. I got one of the feed ramps that engages the magazine. so we'll see if that helps with the jamming issues. But again, all my orders from WGCshop seem to be held up at HK Post for some unknown reason.
  14. I ordered one of those new fangled hopups that came out. Once I get it Ill let everyone know if it works or not, especially considering my Mp5 has a lot of jamming problems as it is. Only problem is that my package doesnt seem to be leaving Hong Kong for some reason. Been sitting waiting for departure for a week now.
  15. Does anyone know where to get the replacement parts to fix the 5-shot problem yet?
  16. So, How Do you get to the nozzle anyway? Ive been trying to figure it out but I dont wanna break it.
  17. mine also seems to fire 5 shots instead of six. so at least you aren't alone. if you do come up with a fix Id certainly be interested in knowing. I'll post about it if I manage to find a fix for mine as well.
  18. So after doing a quick disassembly, There doesnt seem to be any way to make the barrel not wobble (In fact, there doesnt actually seem to be any assembly for even holding the barrel on in the first place). As in, the barrel is not even connected to the receiver at all. It makes me think that is a major weak spot, and the barrel might just snap off if hit hard enough. seems like a MAJOR flaw to me. So, is it just mine that does this, or can someone else who got one let me know if theirs do this too? Its not a major wobble, but its enough to irritate me.
  19. So, I got mine today. Im really liking it so far, but the barrel seems a little bit wobbly. Has anyone had a breakdown of it yet? I imagine it couldnt be that hard to tighten it up.
  20. Heres my custom WE M733. I have a modified RS Bushmaster upper receiver as well as RS buffer tube, castle nut, stock, stock plate, pistol grip, front grips, front sight, and some various other small bits I mgiht have forgotten about. Ive got probably over 15,000 to 20,000 rounds through this easily. The only internal upgrades Ive done are an RA-Tech aluminum nozzle (I would consider this more or less a necessity for a WE M4 based system). everything else is going strong still. It was more then accurate enough with the stock barrel and hopup that I didnt want to change it, and I did
  21. Makes me wish I had jumped on that preorder when I had the chance. Ill have to get one when the next batch are shipped. So its running fine with green gas? Thats something thats important because at least over here in the US, actual 134A in a useable form is kind of hard to come by if you dont feel like making a fill line to use Air conditioner recharge kits. The 134A computer dusters disappeared from the shelves a long time ago. So Its much easier for all involved if the thing just runs on Green gas without an issue.
  22. a real hammer spring would likely destroy the trigger pack frame on the VFC.
  23. Im not sure but I think it may have had something to do with the hammer spring not being striong enough. maybe its gotten worn, as I have had it for well over a year now. I fit a thick rubber gasket behid the hammer strut spring and it doesnt seem to be light striking anymore. Though I dont know if it will start doing so again.
  24. Has anyone else had a problem with their Mp5 where it almost seems like its light-striking? For whatever reason, my gun increasingly does this when I insert a mag. The gun will let out a short blurt of gas, but the bolt wont recoil. Ive checked the bolt and nozzle assembly and made sure the gas bulb is working and everything seems to check out, So Im unsure as to what could be causing it. Something in the hammer pack perhaps?
  25. Well, I can tell you that a Tokyo Marui claw mount wont fit.
