  1. That's pretty much it - an average performing AEG out of the box with very good recoil! Had to spend a little bit getting it to "great" performance, but it was desperately needed. Shame about the faux bolt, I just hope a better quality replacement part is available soon.
  2. Neither has mine, nor my brothers BOLT BR47. Mine was skirmished perhaps twice and was already dead before it made it to its first skirmish. My brothers made it to two before dying. I have to upgrade my complaint level on this from "niggle" to "disillusioned"! Really not for the £320++ asking price, as you'll have to spend money reworking the internals (and this is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when AND how soon). Still the recoil is much heavier than the TM versions - but still, not worth the extra spend at the moment. Very, very poor product for the price.
  3. Thanks. I think that's basically what the spinning does come to think of it, but if I think if I just use your tip then I can forgo the fiddling around after. Cheers! EDIT: Just tested this, and it works, if you don't hear or feel the click when you insert the shell, spin it slightly and it does the trick - works 100% of the time! EDIT 2: OK, I found an even easier, fail safe way to do this - when you load your shell, simply push it up into the chamber firmly and it'll click again - this works regardless of the orientation of the loading gate and won't require you to spin the shell or
  4. The shell spinning trick worked in every case and I was able to unjam the shell that had issues. I'm not sure about putting lube into the shell as it'll invariably end up on the BBs and then on my hop rubber.
  5. I tried with my ASG clone shells again - the Marui shell as expected was perfect 100% of the time. Some ASG shells also operated perfectly. For those that did not, re-inserting the shell and spinning it a little seemed to make something "click" (I'm hoping this was the loading gate opening fully) and the shell worked perfectly. Unfortunately, during the test (8 shells + 1 Marui) one of the ASG shells suffered a stuck follower. Faith restored in ASG shells - not perfect, but at a 1/3 of the price of the Marui shells they'll do for now...
  6. Is everyone using TM shells only? I've got some ASG / DE clone shells and they work 50% of the time, and it is ruining my enjoyment of this otherwise excellent shotty! Are there any tips or tricks to get the clone shells to work consistently? I'm not adverse to plumping for TM shells but they are 3x the price and hard to come by. Thanks in advance!

You should! There's a series devoted to an airsoft game in the Phillipines where one captain betrays the location of his team in exchange for doughnuts, and packs cans of Coke rather than ammunition.

The recoil is much heavier than the TM, even in semi auto it's significant...at full chat, it's sublime. :) I'll bring it down to PAS sometime if you want to test fire on their range? Just give me a shout.

It's just a same that the overall package is not as shiny.

Did you manage to re-attach the fake bolt cover? Just asking as this seems to have happened to one I posted to someone.

Ah - OK your PM makes sense now GhostWolf. The detached bolt cover was for my BOLT AEG. Nothing to do with a SCAR L. Sorry - can't help with your question.

  10. God help me. SCAR SSR, kept under 350 fps so it can be used at any range.. and R-Hopped. I'm drooling.. I want it!

  11. First skirmish of the year - at the Mall this weekend (5th)! Anyone else going?

  12. The quality of the externals is at least as good as any G&G M4 I've come into contact with. Though there are several niggles, which detract from the overall quality of the gun. - Dust cover doesn't close - Faux bolt deforms itself over time during EBB (wut!!) - Bolt release switch is not spung or secured, this means it just flaps pointlessly (annoying as even cheap ACM guns I have seen do not suffer this) - Front RIS system wobbles from stock, will have to try tightening it Aside from that, the rest is very good - I'll try to put together a video review in the new year and will
  13. Airsoft World (where my brother and I sourced a Bolt SR47 and a B4A1 respectively) just issued a communications warning against the use of 11.1v Lipos in these rifles. If you are running around UK spec levels (approx 320 ish) the weaker spring means a higher rate of fire than the design was rated for and can cause damage. If your spec is closer to the Taiwan version (400fps) then you can use 11.1v lipos.
  14. An interesting read and I feel like I've learnt a lot about my rifle. Looking forward to seeing how it all works after the replacement parts come in - once again, thank you for your help!
  15. MP7 finally returned and it works! Praise the Airsoft God! Hallelujah!

  16. You are an inspiration to a novice like me! I might even brave a few modifications when the parts hit the UK! Congrats on your success!
  17. Wow, ok! I love it! Getting to the look so many have tried to get to before...
  18. Maple Leaf Tactical is SpetznazDave here on Arnie's! Thanks for the guides guys! Just need the parts now.
  19. Except when they take too damn long and can't give a straight answer! Sadly, a story I am living right now! A record 5 months so far...! Looking at the attachment for the shell carrier, I think it's a matter of some hex bolts and pins -- THAT I'm sure I can manage. Maybe even the mag tube extension as it looks like it's a twist thing? The one that worries me at the moment is the fore end / pump grip as those parts are probably sprung and who knows what other horrors await the novice engineer?? :s
  20. Haha I hear ya! Was hoping for a video, I learnt a bit off YouTube for the easier stuff like changing hops and barrels - but when it comes to stuff that needs chopping, it's always best to watch someone do it first! Learning with the eyes and all that... not to mention the take down, very clueless there!
  21. Wow. Flecktarn.co.uk - impressed. They send you a photo of your order as it has been picked. Amazing attention to detail and appreciate the effort! Very good prices on kit as well!

I always get this from TMC. Not ordered from Flecktarn in years and years but they've always been great in my experience.

  22. Still in two minds about the magpul fore-end. I love the look, but not sure if I even have the skills to modify it to fit! I don't suppose anyone who's already done it would be willing to write up a guide, including whatever takedown of the 870 is required?
