    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

Well to be honest Sonny, if the part breaks, it's going to break again, you might have more luck waiting yet a little longer for 3rd party upgrades.. my loading nozzle broke during my first mag, but after all this is airsoft, expecting things to work the first time and last forever is pure fantasy... as the saying doesn't go, if it's not broke, fix it before it breaks another part.

    Tokyo Marui's XDM-40 4.5": first impressions

I still haven't broken my OEM loading nozzle, and I used it extensively through summer on propane, but due to many people saying that it will break, I panicked and eventually swapped it out with WII-Tech aluminium nozzle, while arguable controversial, I found it to perform absolutely amazingly, especially for a long period I had the RA-Tech / SDP steel slide on, which put a lot of extra pressure on the nozzle, but the OEM is still standing, even when I had initially used it on the steel slide... so I suspect it could be a batch problem where people had slightly more fragile ones..

Don't even speak to me about pre-ordering guns and failing as a result, I am one of the few who's been brutally raped by Airsoftpanda over the AS Val.. I just can't help it...

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

Last time I visited ehobby in HK they had a Kriss out in the open for any one to test shoot, I was told they went through 3 guns because after a while, all the guns' 2rd burst stopped working, the guy said the "gear" had stripped, so it looks like it's an inevitable issue until someone releases good quality internals... while I know they are already ferrous metal, it might not necessarily mean it's good quality steel... my nozzle exploded on the first day, I don't really think the QC of this gun was the greatest.. but I'm sure lots of 3rd party goodness are to follow sooner or later.

What made me smile today? ARMA 3 ALPHA IS OUT OMG AYFKM
  6. ummm... i haven't actually looked at my manual properly, the image i posted was from the internet, I just added the circle. really strange that they seem to have different codes? anyway, it looks like this gun isn't very robust, atleast compared to the sopmod counter part which I've dropped... fallen on top of... dragged... run into a wall with... and still hasn't shown any signs of breaking
  7. I was hoping a Japanese user might be able to assist me (or anyone who is able to!), I recently got a next-gen TM scar, the folding stock "clip" broke after my first game using it.. , mind you it was a particularly rough game that involved getting in and out of off road vehicles quickly while being shot at. From my understanding it's quite possible to acquire parts directly from Tokyo Marui for those who are in Japan, and the part I'm after is the SCAR-3, I'd be happy to pay up front including the postage from Japan to the UK with a reasonable "trouble fee".. here's the part I'm after on the manual: http://www1.picturepush.com/photo/a/12315154/800/Anonymous/Untitled-2.jpg

Well, mine broke before I could finish one mag, dodgy nozzle... and my friend's was venting badly, granted it was 2 degree, tricked by the sunny day thinking it was going to be warm... not even close.

    Magpul PTS PDR-C

Yeah I can't stand airsoft manufacturers getting creative and releasing monstrous furniture for guns they release.. (hello WE... G&G... ICS...), at least the PDR is being developed and could potentially be released one day..

Thanks renegadecow, I've got some plastruct (they are abs I think) with araldite and piano wires at home, will give it a go and see how it holes up! will probably drill two holds to stop it from rotating.. will post picture when I find time to fix it!

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

Are you pulling it with your finger tucked into the "hinge"? so you are pulling from the part of the handle that's closest to the gun rather than the end, for me it's quite easy to pull it back if I do it that way, but if I pull the outer part of the handle, it feels like I might snap the handle before it moves.

AR15 Variants and Derivitives Picture Thread

Didn't really want to start a new thread, but what's the light blue marker a lot of people use for the "issue number" mark? Not even sure what to google as I just kept getting normal markers... thanks!

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

I've pretty much bought any metal nozzle I could find for most of my GBBs... they do require a bit of filing to ensure they work perfectly, but I swear by metal nozzles, when people have their bb's smashed up, it's more to do with the chamber and feeder alignment. As for cool down... I'm can't see it being affected.. at least not on a level where it's noticeable, metal doesn't make things cold, it simply conducts better, so on a cold day, you could argue the environment inside the nozzle would reach the temperature of its surrounding quicker than a plastic one, but it also means it warms quicker if the outside is warmer...

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

For those who aren't familia, one of my favourite up and coming airsoft accessory company "Wii-tech" is producing an aluminium CNC nozzle for the Kriss, I have just contacted them about it and they said they already had plans for it and will be releasing them late March early April. I've got their CNC nozzle for the TM XDM, which is absolutely fantastic, they aren't straight clones, so the design had been simplified and reinforced (no funny bits with tiny screw on top like the standard TM design, they've gone for a more GHK AK style nozzle, spring, valve and pin) So that's good news for anyone who has had or will have the issue I've experienced... *oh and wii-tech has their own shop, including one on ebay, I love it when I can buy directly from the manufacturer.

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

I'm getting the vipe that this was my fault...? Can't recall any nozzle breaking from any of my other GBBs... besides... it's hard to overload a KWA magazine since if I load it to the max, the loader button won't disengage even if I press it as the BBs are still pushing it back.. am I alone in thinking that something is wrong with my gun... lemon nozzle? I mean... it did break with less than 50 rounds..

    KWA KRISS VECTOR GBB

Nope, it broke half way through firing a magazine rather than first shot.. *edit* semi-auto for what it's worth...

  19. Perhaps buy an RA-Tech co2 valve for KJ co2 mags? Should be compatible? They have it in stock in Airsofttaiwan, I got a few but I still haven't installed them.

    WE XDM

I got the storm lake barrel as well with the 14mm+ (who the hell still does + threads... it's so annoying), had to get a + silencer for it, it seems to be secure enough if I just hold the adapter while twisting the silencer on, sometimes almost twisting the two in opposite direction... or just use some thread lock to stick the adapter with the silencer, it's not a permanent fix anyway and is strong enough for this purpose for sure.

    WE XDM

Yeah I own WE GBBRs, my RA-Tech upgraded SCAR is one of my favourate, and it's not like there is a better alternative for that gun. They do require a good amount of internal upgrades though parts are readily available, but when it comes to pistol for me, if they are cloning a gun by a Japanese company, I'd usually just go for the original, like the XDM or PX4. Their new M&P looks fairly promising especially after the correct marking version is released, and since M&P is the current Taiwanese police's carry gun, it might mean that they were able to model it off that.

    WE XDM

Yeah NonEx, knowing you and your taste in nothing but the best, I was confused why you went for the WE XDM, the Marui one is only $70 more, but performs like a dream with better compatibility with Japanese third part upgrade companies' products... and since you're getting a metal slide anyway, the original plastic of the TM wouldn't be an issue at all..... !

    Inokatsu M1911A1 Standard Edition

Thing is the Nova frame or slide are CNC aluminium, while the real steel counterpart is steel, RA-Tech is the only company that produces a blued steel exterior for the gun... Like NonEx I spent a lot more cashish after the initial $850 just to make all the parts steel, also my front sight was horrendously loose, I'm planning to drill a hole on the slide just so that I can tap a grub screw which I then use to secure the front sight (from the inside), anyone else has that problem?

    Tokyo Marui's XDM-40 4.5": first impressions

Right, back from the Sunday game, the day was so hot @ 32c in the UK, and I had gone through about 7 full mags today under this heat, towards the end I went outside and just emptied everything as far as I could pull the trigger, which adds another 2 mag worth of firing, in rapid succession, but still no sign of nozzle explosion (for those who are wondering why it seems like I'm trying to break my XDM, well, in a way, I am, because I bought 2 reinforced nozzles after hearing everyone's nozzle issue, don't want to use them until the original fails!), ran on propane (Coleman with Airsoft innovation adapter), so for what it's worth, while it's undoubtable people have experienced failures with this gun, there are also TM XDMs out there that really has handled green without failure.

    Tokyo Marui's XDM-40 4.5": first impressions

Okay, after all the fear mongering I went off and bought not one but two airsoft surgeon reinforced nozzle for my TM XDM when it was released, but my original TM nozzle has yet to explode on me, the other week I was playing a game on one of the hottest days this summer in the UK (at around 28c!), and I will use it again tomorrow. I ran it on propane as usual using airsoft innovation propane adapter.. I'm starting to suspect the failures people have been experiencing are due to a bad batch.. As for why I choose propane / green, well, while I don't care for the extra 30fps, the gas is cheaper (atleast where I am), blowback feels much much crisper especially in the cold... will report if my nozzle explode tomorrow (supposedly 29c).
