That's ... err, interesting, I wonder how many shots you can get out of one charge, I can see the benefit of not having to worry about expensive shells, but unless it can do 40-50 shots per charge it won't be the most practical if you gotta charge every 10 rounds.

Nice! I had some panzer grau before I had the ral 7021 mixed, but it was too light for me when viewing with naked eye, probably also because the panzer grau I had only came in matte, which makes everything look a little lighter. Panzer grau is RAL 7016, where as I went with 7021, they are very similar on the chart, with the 7021 just a tiny bit darker.

This might seem massively random, but for the 5 people who are curious about the VZ58 "grey", it's tricky to match from photo because depending on lighting condition it can look black or mid grey, but I have worked out exactly what the paint colour is thanks to some of the real steel furniture coming with steel parts that are in that colour. On the left, it's the original Ares gas tube cover retainer which I've sprayed (which I no longer use as the real stee piece fit). On the right it is a real steel handguard bracket for the Bakelite handguard to better grip the wood and seat it

I actually had the mount you mentioned for a while, but the way the shooting courses work is we just hire the bare bone VZ58, and we're allowed to install anything not intrusive to them, so the comp and the sight mount would be something we bring over ourselves, so since I have to buy the real steel mount and comp anyway for rs use, might as well make them work with the AEG, the airsoft mount I have I'm looking to sell off now. On top of all those reasons above, there's always the real steel brownie points .

Almost zero mod for most of the real steel stuff, the threads are correct both for the flash hider and the stock screw... hope RC isn't on this thread but Ares seems to have done a pretty good job in replicating it.

Ares VZ58... a "training AEG" I've built for real steel courses I take around Europe (Slovakia and Czech Republic) so that I have an Airsoft replica to play around here that's exactly the same as what I use when I'm over there. rs HTR compensator rs Baklitehandguard rs gas tube with Bakelite cover rs Bakelite stock rs GunExpert / EvoArms optic mount (requires 3D printed parts inside the mount to work with the AEG)

I can only confirm surefire handguard works with no mod with we mp5. Stock however won't fit without shaving materials off the stock.

Depends on how badly you want it in that setup, because Gunfire.pl sells the full stock version for 327 euro, shipping cost is usually a tenner and VAT is included already. $374 (£292 + £54.4 (VAT) + £13.50 (parcel force handling fee) = £364 €327 (£278 + £10 (shipping)) = £288 Just in case you aren't super passionate about the sliding stock, also some places sell that stock on its own, including KICbbgun who sometimes declare things so it sails past customs.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask because I'm so far down the steel slide rabbit hole there's no coming back. It works pretty good, room temperature it'd go through a full mag on green gas no problem, but it's also compatible with KJ CO2 mag, making it completely functional all year round, also Volante is making a BBU for TM Glock which I've pre-ordered, so I'm counting on that to make it kick even harder.

Err it's neither, the barrel is sort of cut off almost half way where another section threads on, which has the 14mm- thread at the end of that, so currently there is no way to have this gun without the thread, and the original suppressor / inner barrel combo doesn't work on it. I will have another section made out of steel so I can revert back to a barrel without the thread when I want it in that configuration.

Are you guys spying on me? I literally received my holster today, had to make a round hole near the end for the thread, which by the way, is standard 14mm- threads. Kicks pretty hard for a little gun, haven't actually used it properly and can't say what the range is like, but I doubt it'd be any different than your usual WE PMM as the internals are the same. Will use it this weekend since I now have a holster!

There was a tutorial on Echigoya or Hyperdouraku years ago (like around 2010?) showing how to do the conversion, it involves chopping a few bits off the mag and milling a slot (which can probably be done with a dremel). However I can't for the life of me find it anymore, anyone else might have the info? Sweet, milspecsolution UK will apparently stock them once distributed.. and shooterbcgear will be stocking it for the rest of the world and Asia... look forward to it, hopefully DH mod will make this entirely viable.

Just make them out of 1mm polycarbonate sheets, you can cut them with scissors and just friction fit it on, better safe than sorry

Any signs on what this body might be based on? I don't recognise the markings at all (in the airsoft world), do you think this might be a real steel receiver? I doubt CTW manufactured their own steel body right?
