  1. ^ Yep, I believe you're spot on concerning the piece. VFC conversion kit...I've had this thing forever. Bought it from UnCompany quite some time ago, 2 years ago, I think it was. I then sold it to "twonuts" then bought it back, lol. The barrel retaining grub screws in the back sometimes come loose, allowing the barrel to wobble. This is why I want to get a true 1 piece M733 outer barrel, which should solve the wobble issue completely. (I'll pick up a set of extensions, too, so I can make it proper M468-LE length.) -Vic
  2. It appears to be a retaining tab (or sumding liek dat) that helps to hold the RIS in place. Not sure though. (I didn't take-down my RIS to that extent.) I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the fuse, though. (Then again, the CA I had was rear-wired, so I didn't have the fuse in the handguard, anyway.) Anyway, the M468. Updated progress pictures. I set out to create a unique 'Armalite'. I think I did. Sorry about the orange. It's been too cold out to paint. Waiting on: Magpul PTS MIAD in FDE Still need: BUIS (ARMS or Troy), EGLM Magwell Trigger Pack, 1
  3. So, wanted to create a unique 'Armalite'. I think I did. Sorry about the orange. It's been too cold out to paint. Waiting on: Magpul PTS MIAD in FDE Still need: BUIS (ARMS or Troy), EGLM Magwell Trigger Pack, 1 Piece Outer Barrel (M733 w/Extensions) Still want: PEQ-15, M3 in Tan, & Other Goodies (New sling, perhaps.) -Vic
  4. Madbull RAS Fix Quite a nice piece, too. -Vic
  5. I wonder if the coloring would look better after a light coat of Krylon Matte Clear finish? -Vic
  6. Indeed. I still have a couple North ® brand wooden grips for the Scorpion series. Still need to get a Scorpion to install one on... -Vic
  7. ^ Beauty! Havoc, Hispeed1 has a FDE replica on his SOPMOD M4. Might want to dig through his posts. I'm thinking it's the lighting in the pictures. In some pics, it looks like 24K Gold, in others, it looks like proper FDE. -Vic
  8. Owning both the JLS and the EGLM, yes indeed, serious modification is (or in my case, will) be needed. It'll be one of those "never going back" kinda' deals, as from what I can see, you'll have to cut into the receiver to make it flush with the EGLM, so you'll never be able to re-attach the (seriously comfortable) fore grip. About the F2000, though, sure, it's not great. However, it is the best (as it's the only) F2000 on the market. I honestly don't see G&G producing one, at least not for a long, long time. -Vic
  9. This is true. I'd love to keep one for the M468, however, the GBB conversion requires a standard buffer tube, of which the M93 lacks. I'd keep one for the Beowulf, but that'd just look silly, imo. -Vic
  10. Once I sell one of (if not both of) my M93Bs, yep, that I will. Speaking of the M93Bs, I have two available. Magpul PTS in Black, G&P in FDE. PM me if interested. I'll be listing them in the very near future. -Vic
  11. My* version of the IAR. Receiver's a bit light, but I'm not all that worried about it. (The desert's not all one color, anyway.) Threw on the EOTech and irons for the picture. These will be replaced when my parts come in. (ACOG, barrel extension, etc.) -Vic *Inspired by LWRC, but not copied directly.
  12. PlasticMag, very nice. Good to see my pile of parts put to good use. BTW, that's not a Magpul "style" trigger guard, it's a genuine Magpul PTS trigger guard. TCB: Yes, this is the eBayBanned version. Installed it today on my Guarder MBK. The top rail is equally as tall as the reveiver rail, however, there is a very small gap between the rop rail and the metal body. Not too bad, though. Once my ACOG and what-not comes in, I'll get a picture. -Vic
  13. Not the best pictures, but they should at least give you an idea of what it's like. Top: Proud SIR in FDE Bottom: ACM DD RIS 2 in FDE -Vic Edit: My pics almost make it look black. It's overcast right now. Once it clears, I'll get some better pics.
  14. It's a bit darker when compared to Proud's SIR in Dark Earth (of which uscmCorps said was really close to EOTech's FDE coloring), but yes, I am happy with it. It's no where near the gold-ish coloring of other ACM FDE parts/accessories. In a bit, I'll take a couple pictures of the unit outside, in natural light, next to Proud's SIR. -Vic
  15. Dark Earth Installing it on a Guarder MBK, of which it fits flawlessly. (The barrel nut does, anyway.) -Vic
  16. Random tidbit. My ACM DD RIS 2 just arrived. After my second order comes in, I'll get some pictures. My first impressions...quality looks superb. Trademarks are very nicely done, as well as the finish. (Only one minor blemish spotted so far.) -Vic
  17. A bit random, but... Can someone give me the approcimate measurement? From the left vertical red line to the right. --> |____________| <-- Thanks. -Vic P.S. Just realized...this is Page 102. Here's a pic to start the new thread with. LWRC's IAR (The inspiration for my current IAR project.)
  18. Very nice indeed. It screams for a LaRue FUG, though. -Vic
  19. *High-Five* Thanks PM. -Vic
  20. I don't like asking questions (especially like this one) in picture threads, but, I don't think this question would warrant a whole thread. The HK416 gas block w/flip up front sight...is it possible to remove the front sight? Via a screw or pin removal, that is. I'd like to avoid cutting if possible. I'd imagine it is removable. I just want to be sure before I purchase one. Thanks everyone. -Vic Edit: Also, how does it attach to the barrel? Via the standard two pins that, say, the M4 has?
  21. Isn't the receiver on the HK416 taller than that of a standard M4? -Vic Edit: Beat me to the punch. I don't think JG sells their HK416 bodies separately as of now.
  22. Bead blasting is the best way to go, IMO. A member here, junior, does bead blasting work on airsoft parts. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...?showuser=31878 His pricing list is in his signature. -Vic
  23. Workin' on that. Just a mock-up. Missing quite a few things. -Vic
