  1. Very, very nice, Corps. When you get the time, if you can PM me how you perform the blackened weathering affect, I'd really quite appreciate it.

BTW, Vic, that IAR is coming along nicely. Not sure how I feel about the magwell expander though.

Once I get it up and running, we can say goodbye to the expander, as I'll be using a C-Mag with the IAR on occassion.

  2. STAR makes one, although from what I understand, they're pretty hard to find, and once you do, you'll be pretty disappointed. (This is only what I've read, though.)

A good stand-in might be one of those ACM Aimpoint Micros.

  3. Decided to whoreout my M4s by installing a gas piston. The problem is trying to fit it with the Type 3 gas blocks that I have...

    SNIP

btw if you're going to buy any of the gas blocks I suggest getting the Matrix versions from Evike.com, they sell for half the cost of DYTAC and King Arms at $40.

The only way I've figured out how to do it, without modification, is with this setup:

    gaspiston.jpg

It's not true to the H&K design, as it lacks that one larger chrome piece, but I've seen other gas pistons that look similar to the one in my picture.

Edit: By the way, yes, this setup will also work with lower profile gas blocks. There will be a slight slope in the gas piston, though.

  4. I have a H&K gas piston gas block on the way that I'll modify slightly. (It should fit under the rail system.)

Wrong-O! It won't fit without serious modification, and I don't want to risk fudging it up.

So, I'll need to order a lower profile gas block...

  5. Thanks guys.

Very nice IAR Victory, what gas bloc do you use on this one?

Victory, where does the battery go on this beastie?

    Battery? Battery?!

If I keep it, it'll be converted to gas blow back. :D

  6. That's so ridiculous, it's awesome.  :P

Victory, the grenade launcher that's in the picture with your m468 (Great looking rifle btw), how useful is it? To be more specific, how does it perform? Would you say it's worth buying it a stand alone unit? I'm thinking of purchasing one if I get some extra money this month.

    Thanks. :)

For $200, the Stand-Alone EGLM is well worth it.

I'm currently working with ARES in making the -L and -H trigger packs available separately as well.

  7. Victory i am guessing that the outer barrell is the same diamiter as a standard 5.56mm outer?

been trying to track one of those kits down for ages with no luck. looks sweet though mate.

    Yep, same diameter.

I've seen one or two M468s with the PRI flip-up frontal BUIS, so I'd go with one of those. I'm pretty sure they were used on the prototype of the M468 as well.

  8. ^ Yep, I believe you're spot on concerning the piece.

VFC conversion kit...I've had this thing forever. Bought it from UnCompany quite some time ago, 2 years ago, I think it was.

I then sold it to "twonuts" then bought it back, lol.

The barrel retaining grub screws in the back sometimes come loose, allowing the barrel to wobble. This is why I want to get a true 1 piece M733 outer barrel, which should solve the wobble issue completely. (I'll pick up a set of extensions, too, so I can make it proper M468-LE length.)

  9. It appears to be a retaining tab (or sumding liek dat) that helps to hold the RIS in place. Not sure though. (I didn't take-down my RIS to that extent.)

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the fuse, though. (Then again, the CA I had was rear-wired, so I didn't have the fuse in the handguard, anyway.)

Anyway, the M468. Updated progress pictures. I set out to create a unique 'Armalite'. I think I did.

Sorry about the orange. It's been too cold out to paint.

Waiting on: Magpul PTS MIAD in FDE

Still need: BUIS (ARMS or Troy), EGLM Magwell Trigger Pack, 1 Piece Outer Barrel (M733 w/Extensions)

Still want: PEQ-15, M3 in Tan, & Other Goodies (New sling and rear mount, perhaps.)

  11. Oh and btw: Scorpion with wooden grip > Scorpion with black grip

    Indeed.

I still have a couple North ® brand wooden grips for the Scorpion series.

Still need to get a Scorpion to install one on... ^_^

  12. ^ Beauty!

Havoc, Hispeed1 has a FDE replica on his SOPMOD M4. Might want to dig through his posts.

I'm thinking it's the lighting in the pictures. In some pics, it looks like 24K Gold, in others, it looks like proper FDE.

  13. Owning both the JLS and the EGLM, yes indeed, serious modification is (or in my case, will) be needed. It'll be one of those "never going back" kinda' deals, as from what I can see, you'll have to cut into the receiver to make it flush with the EGLM, so you'll never be able to re-attach the (seriously comfortable) fore grip.

About the F2000, though, sure, it's not great. However, it is the best (as it's the only) F2000 on the market. I honestly don't see G&G producing one, at least not for a long, long time.

  14. He's selling them now - and for a very good price. Buy his stuff!

    This is true.

I'd love to keep one for the M468, however, the GBB conversion requires a standard buffer tube, of which the M93 lacks.

I'd keep one for the Beowulf, but that'd just look silly, imo.

    -Vic

  15. Once I sell one of (if not both of) my M93Bs, yep, that I will.

Speaking of the M93Bs, I have two available. Magpul PTS in Black, G&P in FDE. PM me if interested. I'll be listing them in the very near future.
