Post-processing is equally important with digital and analog pics... Taking the picture is just half the job, no matter what camera you use. Stopping halfway intentionally (using in-camera settings, JPG instead of RAW) is not a virtue, but something else.

My Lowa proved much more durable over a 3 year period than any of my Merrells.
The Merrell soles wear faster and slowly separate from leather after 2 yrs of heavy use (everyday wear+hiking).
Hanwag boots (like the Alaska GTX) are also extremely comfortable.
I won't buy Merrells anytime soon.
The flash is off-camera, set to Manual and the lowest useable light output (weaker the flash, the shorter the lighting time).
Flash activated by sound trigger.
The exposure (or shutter) time is determined by the duration of the light, the mechanical camera shutter has no role here.
