I bought the 2nd gen. long model from RSOV, and as a warning, here are the problems with mine: - Battery compartment lever won't close completely (interferes w/ fov) - Two cut red wires hang inside the lens box (?!!) - Vertical dot adjustment not working, - Green dot mode not working - Dot brightness adjustment was dead, started working after a while (?!) I won't buy another ACM red dot, that's for sure.

There is still some ghosting on mine (received couple days ago)...

The ACM replica is a flimsy cr*p compared to the real deal, but still more than enough for airsoft. (I'm saying this w/ a replica on my CQB-R.) I prefer Aimpoints anyway.

Yes it's a little weird to market a wooden stock for a pretty much unskirmishable wall hanger...

The steel wool is spot on. I also used - dremel w/ polishing stone, - tamiya matte brown, black, gunship grey, and silver paint - sanding paper I studied some real steel pics, removed the finish from places, then painted over w/ different colours in multiple light layers, then sanded back the edges, contours for the weathered effect.

I've three classics, but I don't bother to post pics since they can be bought (what a surprise) so they are not too rare or interesting either... Meanwhile I'm working on a one-off airsoft slingshot carved from mastodon bone. The leather for the BB holder will be cut from the back of a freshly born albino panda cub. Not sure about the gold plated BBs with individual serial numbers... If I'm finished I'll post some pics, but only if that's rare enough!

I am talking about refilling HPA tanks in SCUBA shops (you need a $35 adapter for that)... HPA is unaffected by weather. But we are getting offtopic...

Escort M249: if the internal gas source will be large enough for - let's say - 1000 rounds, with simple refill possibility (and optional external rig connection), I know where my money will go... I guess the price will be over $2K. Those VFC AKs are really nice, the STAR L96 is also tempting, but I'd prefer a spring version for cold weather consistency. Any idea about the performance of the VZ Skorpion? Something with a little more punch than an AEP would be nice...

Correct me if I am wrong, but HPA (high pressure air) is not illegal in Japan and not that expensive either... Plus Escorts for the japanese market are down powered (regulated) versions.

BoB Soil, This is the King Arms scope mount and I do NOT recommend it. Parallel aligment was PITA, the mount has a tendency to creep sideways when screws are tightened.
