  1. I think the only logical place is really the "Review Comments" section as I think you already mentioned. The way I understand it that section can handle comments on reviews found under "Reviews" and I guess now, the "Review Database" as well. The database maybe for those that want to take the time and effort to make a somewhat formal review since submissions require approval prior to final posting. The reader reviews will be more "informal" I guess. An open venue for anyone wanting to air his/her 2 shillings worth on a product, service or retailer. Formal, informal...long, short...tec
  2. OMG...that is gonna hurt! My wallet that is. So what's next...a flashlight, laser, ANPEQ, reddot? Oooooh more moolah down the drain. Nice gun sir...very nice. (Drool)
  3. Hehehe...thank you for the added, uh, confusion I did get a chance to correspond with Mr. May of Wilson Combat while doing the review. Sadly, his reply was less than "informative" and came after I had published the review. He did state that they made some versions for customers but I had to track down the details of the gun's origins myself. I have to admit that that was the fun part so in a way I do owe Mr. May a debt of gratitude.
  4. Ahhhh...the MARSOC....I envy you sir. An airsoft afficionado after me own heart. That replica of the KIMBER ICQB MUSOC/Warrior is a lovely piece of work. Would've bought one to if I did not own a WA MEU already. To say that you use the BOBTAIL more than the MARSOC is a compliment indeed coz the MARSOC is no slouch. And, yes, the grip is really rather exceptional. Pointability is excellent with the BOBTAIL. Glad you enjoyed the review and thank you for the kind words.
  5. You're very welcome sir. It's a link to my (under construction) website. I decided to place a link instead of the entire review and the associated pics to preserve (precious) bandwidth. Thank you as well.
  6. Okay, let's begin with a little factoid...there is NO Wilson Combat Professional Bobtail pistol in real steel. I could still be wrong and I do hope someone can set me right coz I searched in the Wilson Combat website and in the websites and forums of real steel magazines...nada, zilch, zero. I was hoping to get some background info for this review but came up empty which leads me to the abovementioned conclusion. So if it does not exist where did Western Arms get the design to replicate? The entire story and review HERE. Note: Astute detective work by Spetsnaz over at
  7. Yeah, I see what you're getting at about the seals drying out. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you. FYI...as I mentioned I did some maintenance work and TESTING just before this weekend's games and guess what...the darn thing malfunctions during the game. Talk about Murphy's law. Apprently using the ICS brand silicon spray grease (the one in the white spray can) is a no-no. Instead of lubing it seems to have made the o-rings and metal surfaces "tacky". I wiped everything down and used Tamiya Ceramic Grease instead (the one for R/C gears) and it now seems to be working just
  8. Excellent review sir! Very detailed and informative. I just bought 2 of these babies and got them to work using trial and error. Luckily I found your review and was able to validate most of my guess work on how to operate them. Also, using your photos and instructions I just finished doing some general maintenance work on them. Taking them apart, lube and reassembly. I was just wondering...when storing these babies in-between games would you recommend that they be kept gassed-up and armed or empty with the plunger raised? Due to the design I would think keeping them "plunger
