I remember Stealthbomber and Punkypink, wow that takes me back, Candymans builds were amazing but I fear he's long gone, Dobey made me a few really well engineered parts back in the day, a silencer adapter for my Ruger mk1 and an M14 scope rail that replaced the rear sight. I have a feeling that Dobey became a youtuber possibly under the name caferacing? Not certain though as it was at least 5 years ago.

By research stuff I actually meant try stuff out themselves, barrel/bucking combos etc, people want to be given a magic bullet. They want to be told use x barrel with y bucking and z bb brand and you will hit 100m when in actual fact every gun is different. I'm glad to be snuggled back in the warm and cosy world of Arnies. I'm still bere just about. I joined pre 2006 I think, in the glory days before VCRA etc. For the last few years I've been running a variety of owners groups on Facebook. MK23 Owners group, I left that when "personalities" started giving me abuse for not immediately censoring their critics... Sorry Heroshark you got left with that mess. The A&K Masada owners group got killed by Facebook bots. The SR25 Owners group likewise got killed. The Airsoft Glock owners group too. I still run the ICS M4 owners group and Airsoft Ruger MK1 owners group but they are poor substitutes for a prop

Would anybody be interested in reopening the communications picture thread? Its been dead for years but more cool comms stuff is out and being used now, I've been slowing trying to upgrade my own kit and convince my team to move on from their 10 year old Cobra bubble pack pmr radios! So after making my cheap chestrig, I was at Midlands Airsoft Fair today (MGC The Gaol) and I bought this for £10. Just lucky I guess nobody else wanted it, 5 minutes after getting it home I had the pouches swapped over to it. Very nice, also I found some PTS AK Midcaps (4 for £7 wow!) All in all a good day for bargins. Jim.

I was going to use an Ops panel, but then I found a sideplate pouch for £3.49 and realised that it would have a map pocket built in! (the Ops panel would have been a little wider but 3 times the price) I think including the webbing and buckles for the straps this cost around £10. Jim

Being poor makes me creative . I decided I could justify buying a mini MAV so I got a cheap surplus Osprey sideplate carrier and sewed up some straps!

I had one of those original Arktis DPM rigs when I was a Cadet, I still had it up until last year, I wish I hadn't sold it.
