In a GBBR barrel length relates more to energy than accuracy, smoothness is more relevant to accuracy than barrel diameter, especially if you don't buy high grade BBs. It all relates to expanding gas, recoil, vibrations ect.

TBH the stock barrel preforms the best. I was surprised as well. If you need a longer stock inner barrel let me know and I can see if I have one I can sell
  3. Technically it should be far forward, but the DBAL sits higher than a PEQ2, PEQ15, and PEQ16 and can get in the way of the sight picture pretty easily when its mounted way forward. Where USMC has it mounted it dosen't interfere much, thats where mine is on my AR, anywhere else and I start seeing black box rather than target.

UN company should have an orange tip. KJWs are also on the BATF and USCBP list of approved GBBRs, it was the first along with WE M4s. I've found that USPS usually won't update foreign tracking numbers until it gets out of customs, which for me is usually the day before I get it.

I've not had issues receiving items from them but if you do order items be sure to read the full description, I ordered a "G&P M120" from them only to get some no-name spring, when I called to complain they said to re-read the description in which at the very bottom in non-obvious script it said "can be replaced with an equal power spring if out of stock". But equal power does not mean equal quality. BTW hut, I did as you said and re-lubed all my o-rings on my mags with grease that came with my BCG and they are now leak free.
  6. Kojak, is that a real or fake weapon link? How do you like it? I've had a real one I got from a buddy sitting on my desk for months and just never had the desire to try it, and keep forgetting I have it...

Thats quite a switch, I loved my GHK AK when I had one.

I would have ordered mags instead of PTS parts, but enjoy it when you get it.
  9. yeah Froglube is different from your average CLP, but I still wouldn't trust it with hop-up rubbers...
  10. CLPs are incredibly bad for low grade plastics and rubber, be very careful with where you place it.
  11. Actually the replica pictured is based off the Silynx C4OPs. Nacre Quiet Pros work with any XTS wired radio and they work with US MBTIRs as well... However almost all of them on the market are illegally sold.
  12. If you want an honest opinion, I'd really get rid of the chems and the strobe. I think the bungies look stupid and are a giant snag hazard, but my opinion dosen't match the rest of the range queers who fap to gear they think is highspeed.
  13. Needs more bungies, some more chemlights, and more patches.

Hut you and I need to get together at some point and compare notes. Where in NC are you? Is it close enough I could convince you to come up to Ballahack in Chesapeake to me Kai_wolf and I, then give you the grand tour of SEALland?
  15. Grey fox are you running the united star MBTIR? you can source adapters easily enough if needed but take a look at this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/MBITR-TVAS-Antenna-system-with-Quick-Disconnect-/251100682294?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a76c45836
  16. gray fox, have you thought about running the antenna cable over your shoulder so you don't have to disconnect it to undo the cummerbund?

ok I'll dig back through the thread and look for results from the v1, I shoulda thought of that....

Ok that's what I was planning on doing, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a better method out there. Also anyone tested out the velocity reducer spacers on the v1+, wondering what combo seems to get around 1j without having to disassemble the bolt multiple times.

    Blue gasket method?

well my v1+ bolt, TDC hop, and madbull 6.03 barrel has me hitting man sized targets at 260ft with .28g BBs at 1.5J, its roughly 50F outside and that was for 90rds. I was actually able to hit a small twig at max effective range 8/10 times. On another note, my v2 bolt misfeeds every time I use it now.... and two mags I have leak at the gasket that joins the upper and lower halves. Anyone have any suggestions for fixing those leaks?
  21. I think this is the case, the hurricane is right in spec with the real deal, so telling you those dimensions wouldn't help, and I no longer have the VFC so I can't give you those. I will say it took some finagling on the fitting to make it work with the VFC, but at the same time I mounted mine using one hole rather than two... As with most of S&S products it has a very very specific use, it was made for one individual as a custom order then tossed on the market if the customer said it was Ok. I've never tried to mount the mount anywhere other than on one hole so it may be that is
  22. I've had no issues putting it on a VFC 416, a hurricane 416, or madbull DD RIS II as an FYI.
  23. I have two of the ones from EBairsoft, both sides of the latching hooks are adjustable, just make sure to torque it on. It is going to chip the paint, the real one does too, do what the guys who it was designed for do and just don't care, it is after all only paint.

Got to try to fire a few rounds through my KJW today, but as I awoke at the filed to find it was 23F I was saddened that I could only get 5-10 shots out of a mag before it was out (didn't help that my propane bottle was almost empty). What shooting I did get to do the v1+ bolt preformed fine with a V2 lower, v1 upper and v2 upper. Excellent shot to shot consistency.
  25. yeah I didn't like the clunky VK short dot. To be honest I bought it to re-visit the short-dot concept for my real AR. Theres a NF that was an overrun from a Team contract sitting in a shop in VB and I'm going to have a very hard time not walking out of the shop with it tomorrow....
