  1. I still cannot save money for a Z-part carrier and now the HK417 already arrived on our local shop but cost $510 wtf. By the way, i'll take my unit again on jungle games this coming Sunday, hope that my OLD BCG (without the steel insert) will not break during the game.
  2. GHK mag efficiency is better than VFC mags. Tested using semi 86 shots(GHK) vs 77 shots(VFC). though 9 shots difference, cooldown resistance for GHK is better than the VFC. Can mag dump a whole mag using FA without cooldown. For VFC using FA mag dump, cooldown occurs around 20 shots but can still lock back the BCG. Temperature is typical Philippine temp around 27 deg C. What I like for the VFC mags compared with GHK was the weight around +/-300gm vs +-500gm
  3. VFC mags performs great though the mag output valve sometimes just wont close spewing all the gas stored. A week spring maybe the cause. I also did't experience any leak until now.
  4. That's good. Mine shooting 330fps using the Azimuth valve. So the RA Tech broke just a few shots and there goes your money! holy , good thing i hold back getting those. In terms of Accuracy, I still hadn't final fix it, sometimes it shoots left or right, sometimes overhop or underhop but can't complain more. Installed a realsteel buffer and recoils like crazy, so much fun. I screwed my latest bolt carrier, the nozzle guide screw was loose threaded due to over tightening. So I use my old stock BCG but it's nearing to break at the area where it has contact with the bolt catch. Ha
  5. update us regarding the consistency of ra tech NPAS coz i've heard report of self resetting.
  6. From what I previously saw, the hop chamber & rubber of the v.2014 is the same with the 2012/2014 version. Actually I like the hop unit, it's effective except for the stock hop rubber which sucks. Need to be replaced with A+ rubber or do the VSR Mod.
  7. If that metal inner shell will come into reality, i'd pick the MP7 over the HK417 gbb. I'm just awaiting for further progress of the gun before shelling out my hard earned cash. Don't like the WE or New Wave, the KWA/KSC and TM feels like a TOY, so VFC should be way to go if only that upgrade part will come into production.
  8. Nice loadout dude. At last, hop unit on stock.gonna pick up one and get the maple leaf hop tensioner and ACOG and its done.tnx for the info! Please update us also with your RA Tech NPAS coz some says it is inconsistent
  9. WOW no more VSR mod coz it already uses it on stock form. But to take note, stock VFC stock hop rubber sucks . We shall see.
  10. Seems like it uses same hammer used on their M4/416. It was also great that they now opt to preinstall steel hammer and sear on for the 417 same goes to their HK416 ver.2014.
  11. If you have a WA type unit, it is better to shorten the firing pin of your VFC 416 so that you can still use your G&P PMAG on your WA type gun. But to answer your question, yest you can mod it. Just shorten the mag valve and file some portion of the PMAG shell. See my previous post/photo regarding the modification of GHK G5 Mag, though not a Magpul PMAG but almost identical to a PMAG design
  12. I use a window sealant on mine coz that's only the available one . I just applied it around the gasket, a nasty looking finish but gets the job done. For the release valve, yeah that's the azimuth valve. Upon doing some research, i found out that my VFC mags are actually the pre 2012 version. The release valve is thinner than the new one, the gas port opening was also smaller and it leaks. Oh well, will be fixed soon by getting the new valve from azimuth
  13. When I got mine, my mag also has leak on the body, the back plate also. I fixed mine by putting some sort of sealant and the body doesn't leak now. The only leaking part and I cant seem to fix is the output valve or release valve. I think it's the o-ring but I cant find the right size on the market to replace the stock one.

  15. One of my Mag also is leaking on the mag release valve and there's no way I can stop the leaking. I'll pick up some azimuth mag valve then couple of GHK mag.
  16. hey ludey-dudey, if you dont have yet a bunch of magazine for your VFC 416, i'd recommend you to get the GHK G5 mag or the Gen2 GHK Stanag magazines and modify it. Much much better performance than the VFC mags, heavier though . 300gm vs 500gm.
  17. That's a VSR hop rubber. Unless your hop unit has been converted to VSR type, you can use that Here's another site for the A+ rubber: http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=category&item=APLUS-DHP-VGBB&search=special&rs=Hop-Up%20Rubber%20and%20Chamber%20Packing&catid=&cat=766&view_choice=c
  18. It's because I live in Philippines, it's hot in here. Also, I installed an EdGI 6.00 inner diameter barrel which greatly increase the FPS. When using stock barrel, it shoots around 430 fps
  19. Here's a link for the A+ hop rubber for VFC/Viper Tech GBB http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=33503 Still cant find the metal hop up chamber
  20. I installed that on my unit. It is very consistent. My unit shot around 550fps unrestricted but when installed the azimuth valve, it went down to 380-390 fps. It's not adjustable tough.
  21. Yeah agree, can't find stock anywhere. Same here, dont wanna mess with my only hop unit, coz if something goes wrong, i'm screwed.
  22. stock VFC hop rubber sucks in terms of range. Either you get the A+ rubber or do the VSR mod. I'll try the VSR mod when my retailer have the vfc hop unit available. For the mag lock issue, I also experienced that. As ProfHappyCat said, try to tighten the mag screw or you could also try to tighten the mag catch itself. I just put my mag with a little bit of brute force and it works fine.
  23. Get the latest V3 nozzle if your unit dont have it yet. In stock form, here are the steel parts: Firing pin retainer, firing pin, firing pin locker, bolt catch, fire selector sear. Others are made of zinc-alloy. Rule of Tumb: Dont fix 'em if it ain't broken yet. It wont break on you the soonest. As for the fire selector switch, at first I thought it was made of plastic, but when I disassembled it, it was made of zinc-alloy. For the clicking issue you got, you could get a steel fire selector switch to address your issue. What do you mean the mag don't lock? Wont lock bolt on las
  24. So I just skirmish mine today. It clocks around 370-380 fps using the azimuth glow valve. What surprises me is that all my mags run pretty amazing even the OEM, almost no noticeable cooldown but the GHK Mag is just a hell of a mag, very efficient and can empty a 40rnd with ease. But after 2 games, unit start to Jam. A realy annoying jam which makes my 416 useless under firefight. I tried to use different BB's but still jams as hell. Maybe i'll reinstall my stock barrel and maybe the hop rubber need to be replaced.
