  1. The full Etiny kit is worth every penny, to be honest. Basically the same components as the FCC electronics kit, but at a fraction of the cost. Thats actually the only thing I would not buy from FCC. I can also fit a lipo in the stocktube now with no problem.
  2. You will find that the FCC motor is not compatible with the normal A&K electronics. At least in my case it wasnt. The programming does not work well with the increased power of the FCC motor. If you swap your motor, throw a complete Etiny kit in there
  3. The person in that video is me actually. I was not breaking the rules really. The only thing that was questionable is my buddy that basically told me where the guy that hit him stood. The referees really do say at the beginning of each game day "There is no shot rule" unless you stare down someones barrel from a meter away. The guy who used the shot rule on my teammate was 5 meters away, the guy that I said "bang/shot" to was a meter away and I knew he was there. If my KWA USP was working that day I would have used it, but it was below 5 Degrees Celsius. Wasnt breaking the rules at

  5. Hey guys, just wanted to start a separate thread for my video-review of the Magpul PTS PDR-C. Its rather comprehensive and should cover all of the pros and cons of this unique bullpup. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSzzf-fYb40 Best regards, Alex
  6. To my knowledge, all of them should have them. That is: sniper-as.de, begadi.de and softairstore.de I ordered mine from softairstore.de Then again, the price difference between a shop in Poland, such as taiwangun.com, who stocks the old version, is 42 Euros. 378 Euros vs. 420 Euros. If you plan on swapping out the inner barrel, hop up, the ECU and mosfet, etc. I think I would go for the old version at 378 Euros. However, if you like to keep it the way it is for now then the new version is a better deal. Externals just look a tad bit nicer and smoother. That alone to me is worth
  7. For the most part, yes. In Germany some stores seem to have gotten a "new" improved version of the A&K PTW though. They slightly improved the motor, the mosfet has a better heatsink, the hop up is better, the MAG is slightly improved, the cylinder has supposedly also undergone minor improvements. I actually have one of those PTWs and also had an older Austrian model. While I dont think the motor has really been improved, the other stuff is definitely true. I also thought that the body looked a bit better. Finish was smoother. So if you feel comfortable ordering a semi-version from Germany
  8. Yeah, a PTW system is always superior to a normal AEG. You can swap out your cylinders to adjust for different circumstances, CQB or woodgame. You have a smart trigger that lets you trigger extremly fast. There are no gearjams at all, no matter what you do. The Hop-Up will deliver much more consistent and accurate shots down range due to its solid and great design. If I were you, I would get an A&K PTW. Swap out the inner barrel and Hop Up for an ORGA Widebore, FCC HU and the ORGA Flathop Adjuster. Also downgrade the spring to an FCC M100-115, polish the standard cylinder inside to ge
  9. Hey guys, just got done recording another video-review for you. This time its about the VFC H&K HK416 AEG version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4l4uCcHRYY Enjoy it! Best regards

  11. To make everything complete I also did a video guide on how to upgrade the Gearbox of the WE Katana with Siegetek gears and the ASCU. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COnv28SOxdY
  12. If I was you I would just change out the entire electronics. If you mix components of various manufacturers you always run into some problems along the way. While it may work at first, the reliability of your gun wont be as good. In general, most manufacturers use the same components on the ECU and mosfet though. Its just the programming that will be different. My A&K electronics for instance could not handle the speed and power of my FCC motor, so I encountered some malfunctions such as bursts on fast semi-triggering. The entire etiny electronics kit on powair6.com is incredibly che
  13. One a german forum a guy actually said that the FCC pinion gear stripped the bevel gear of the A&K gearbox partially, so I would not count my money on that combination to work reliably.
  14. If you do have an M150 cylinder I am inclined to think that you either have a Gen.1 A&K PTW or maybe there is more market differences. Overhere the Gen.1 also had the M150 cylinder as standard. Well, see the excessive grease can eventually cause problems. If any of that ###### gets onto the outside of your sector gear and covers the indicator holes your ECU sensor will not be able to detect full cycles as reliably anymore. You will get random bursts then. So its always good to clean the gearbox. I personally do not see why you guys overthere would get a different gearbox though, e
  15. Also, as for the BB chopping issue, I have some extra points that you may find interesting. Check if your outer barrel sits in the upper receiver correctly. Also remove the outer barrel completely and insert the inner barrel with the Hop Up unit into it. Do the nobs of the Hop Up unit fit into the gaps properly without any play? If they dont, use some tape to fill the gaps. Check if the shimming of your buffertube endcap is correct. Shoot the gun without the magazin and check if the cylinder has any play. If it moves slightly, add more shims to the endcap. If you dont have any, screw the buf
  16. One other thing, as for reliability I have had two A&K PTWs so far. One Gen. 2 for the Austrian Market which performed flawlessly and had about 20000 rounds through it when I sold it. Only sold it because I will be moving back to Germany soon and they only allow semi-automatic versions there with the infamous "F"-Mark indicating that its a "free" weapon. Only thing I changed with the old one was the innerbarrel and the Hop Up. So I bought a new one in Germany. The German market has actually gotten a new "Gen.2+" if you will. Improvements were a better body, a better heatsink for the mosfe
  17. Have you removed all of the excessive grease from the factory? Maybe you should also check if the shimming of the bevel gear is correct. I actually removed one of the shims and tightened the screws a bit more than usual. This gave me a better result. With the MAG adjuster you have to use superglue to glue the rubber in. Only use superglue that does not damage the rubber though and most importantly be very careful in applying it. You do not want anything to get anywhere else and especially not onto the side thats going to face the BB. The barrel and the hop up were the first things I replac
  18. Thing is that I got these components after much research last week and I thought it might be a good idea to keep my camera running while I reassembled everything. It was a lot of fiddling around and I encountered some minor problems along the way. I did not specifically disassemble my PTW for the purpose of making a video tutorial. My DSLR camera kept on shutting off every 12 minutes or so and I did not look at the display all the time to see if everything was still in frame. I thought that I mentioned and explained what I replaced in the video though? Maybe I focussed too much on the Etin
  19. Hey guys, I did a video-guide on how to properly upgrade your PTW clone to get it to perform up to Systema standard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08P4u7RSsek If you do have any questions, please feel free to ask. Alex

  23. After following this topic to this point, I really start to get the impression that I had a lemon when I bought mine. Compared to you guys first impressions mine performed absolutely horribly. Wanted to buy a KWA MP7 recently, only to find out that its out of stock everywhere. I assume UMAREX is slowly selling off their last batches of the KWA only to permanently replace it with the VFC version. I wonder if mine was just part of the first bad batch that was shipped and if they have done some modifications already. I am especially curious if the new version with the preinstalled foregrip has
  24. I no longer have the gun in my possession as I got so frustrated with it that I sent it back for refund. As far as I recall everything was fine, there was no wear whatsoever. This must have been the case anyway as the retailer classified it as "practically" new and magically had a single one for sale again after I sent mine back Remove the flashider and front plate. Remove the pins from the body and pull the entire blowback assembly. This should give you access to the barrel and hop-up unit if I remember correctly. As said above, I no longer have this gun. Got a full refund for i
  25. First magazines went a lot better with mine as well, but the more rounds I put through it the worse it got. I would suggest you test it at least for another two weeks or so and see how it goes. If its still performing like that I would assume that the rest of the other experiences VFC MP7s I read about or saw on the web so far might have been from a different batch. Also, what gas and BBs were you using? Very important with this gun. Unlike the KWA guns which actually work with most gases. Glad yours works so well though!
