After a long battle, my Stark G19 came back from service and is finally working. The service guys had a second Stark from which they transplanted piece by piece until it started working. Turned out that the piston was badly manufactured and caused all the problems. A new one was ordered from WGCShop and installed and now my Glock is working as it should. On a sidenote - i was able to fit (with a bit of filing) an APS ACP601 outer barrel into my G19. I now have a threaded barrel and can attach a silencer! Can you compare the FPS output between CO2 and Green Gas? Also - do you feel that the original recoil spring can handle CO2 or would you advise a stronger spring?

WGCShop has so many parts that you could basically build a g19 from scratch. And they are pretty cheap, too.

Good eye you have there. Idd it seems these mags might be ambidextrous. One thing that bothers me just a bit - the images are a bit too small to say exactly, but it seems that this G17 doesn't full auto as the G19 has, which is a pity. I wonder of they fear that the G19 wouldn't be compelling anymore. EDIT: In the end i decided that i will give Stark another chance, and i'm ordering another G19. I sincerely hope that first one was just an unexpected dud.

Interesting stuff. I was considering an APS Glock for quite some time, but it shoots to hot for most CQB places. I now cannot decide if i want another Stark G19 to see for myself if they are all bad, an APS one and try to lower the power somehow, or get a Marui G17.

Didn't know about the incompatibilities. Thanks for the info! Out of curiousity - isn't it possible to just change the outlet valve of a APS magazine to make it less powerful? As for my G19, I am done with it. It was a month at a highly praised service-point. They simply couldn't figure out what's going on with it. They removed the full auto mode and stripped it down to a bare minimum to narrow down the possible issues. They sent it back to me and it was indeed working okay. But after two mags on the field, it again cannot even empty one full mag. My worst problem with those Stark

Why do you want to exchange the rod as well? It's pretty sturdy, and if it breaks you can buy another original one from WGCSHOP for 2 bucks. I have a pretty bad experience with this model. Mind you - this is my first GBB so troubleshooting takes some time for me. But at the moment i'm serously considering ditching GBB altogether once the Stark dies. First of all, the piston lid sometimes gets stuck in the cylinder when it's not thoroughly lubed. Even with gas containing silicone grease it jams quite often when it becomes dry. I ordered another piston lid from WGCSHOP and the problem got even worse. I would really hope someone would make a direct comparison between all the Madbull barrels. Especially the Ultimate 6.01 vs the Steel Bull 6.03, which are very similar in price. Both shoot apparently better than the Pythons...
