Just wrapping up my first season with my TM recoils - a 416 and a SOPMOD. I went full retard on the 416: prometheus everything, firefly rubber, and a spectre while the SOPMOD remains stock (albeit wired to deans for regular lipos). Aside from the obvious difference the spectre makes, there isn't much of a performance gap between the two. Maybe I need to bump up the springs and start shooting something heavier than .28s to see the difference. With that in mind, I'm going to build the SOPMOD into a MK12 and am looking for the fewest possible upgrades to get to a reasonably accurate shoot

My gun doc had a good look at it, it was a short but pretty sure not moisture related. It has gone and come back from repairs with Frank @ BTC, who was great. Will be back in action this weekend!

Yours did that after playing in the rain? Or just out of the blue? So you've played in the rain with no issues?

Good advice there - it's not something I isially do, just started futzing with my gear and my AEG after getting home from the game.

It really wasn't all that bad. One the scale of 1 to 10 (1 being drizzle, 10 being instantly soaked) this was maybe a 3 at most. Not enough rain so that it would be dripping from the gun when holding it at the ready. I've run a slew of other AEGs in worse conditions without issues, but none with a Spectre FET.

Gamed my TM recoil with BTC Spectre today in the rain. It wasn't a torrential downpour or anything but rainy. Anyway I got my gear home and wiped everything off with a dry towel. All seemed good. About 2-3 hours later my gun starts firing full auto by itself in the gun bag. Had to run over and pull the battery to get it to stop. If I attach a battery, it keeps shooting full auto on its own - I can't get the mosfet to enter programming mode and pulling the trigger does nothing but speed the ROF up even more. Is there any way this is NOT a fried mosfet? And if not, suggestions?

I had tried wolf before asking in the thread - it took them over a week (and a follow up email from me) but they did finally respond and the package is on it's way.

Trying to find a Dytac G Style SMR for my TM 416 but it's like a damn unicorn. Anyone know if the VFC model will fit?

Brilliant post, tons of useful info here. I think I'm up to page 100ish or so, but lots to read yet. Picked up the CQBR for my first go at a recoil AEG - now that my trigger talk lipo adapter is in and I've run some mags through it, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Some questions though. Just wanting some confirmation if the Firefly SOFT hop rubber + SOFT (clear) flat hop nub is the best combo to pair with an eagle6 M100 spring and Prommy 6.03 tbb at target FPS near (but not exceeding) 350fps? With the Spectre fet out of stock everywhere, is there a reasonable alternative? Is on
