Some pics from a hike me and a team mate took, to figure our gear out and get some training in. It was perfect day for it, crystal clear and warm. I'm in multicam running my very work in progress UKSF loadout. Joint operation with team mate Bunkin in OD with his US gear. - Zepher

Thanks for the offer, but I'm ok for now. I'll run the chicom for now, it works well. Simple and to the point. - Zepher -

Thanks Dave. I am indeed familiar with Gaunts Ghosts, but no, I haven't read the books. I quite like the chicom but if I can find something nice in DPM I'll pick it up. Optics wise I'm trying to decide between a short dot style scope (1.5x-4x) in a larue style SPR mount, or an ACOG. The ACOG would look the part, but the short dot style scope would be more functional. So not sure yet. - Zepher -

Sort of a joke. Them being the kind of noobs that run around with a single highcap and no gear. Obviously you don't fall into that group. Drop leg would probably work well. - Zepher

So you're one of them! - Zepher

As much as I love my ICS, and the quick release handguard is well designed and solid, I do rue they fact that I can't install an RIS. Has anyone managed to mod a rail system to an ICS L85A2? Is it even remotely possible? Speaking of a L85 rail system here, not bodging a CASV or something else on. - Zepher

Thanks ian. Just need to grab a G36K flash-hider and an EOTECH and she'll be basically done. - Zepher

Nice setup there. Both the gear and the AR look straightforward and utilitarian. I like. - Zepher

I dusted my EBB PACA with Krylon brown to tone it down a little and it looks much better now. So that's an option. - Zepher -
Hey Mars, I have one of those same quad shingle deals, but in OD not M81. Do you know anything about yours? I don't really have any info on mine. - Zepher

Nice pic. I see on EBB that it only comes in one size, a so called "large". May I ask what your height and build are and how the fit is? - Zepher

The point with a vertical foregrip, at least for me, is not to use it all the time, there are certain positions and situations where it's advantageous to assume a vertical grip. So yes, at times it's comfortable, but I would switch up my grip depending on the circumstances. - Zepher
