Your secret question

Answer to your secret question

  1. I am so *fruitcage* ING *fruitcage* ING *fruitcage* ING ANNOYED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! I have *just* spent well over 2 hours writing up an entry about today, full of carefully researched (for once) links and, although I say it myself, some rather good content and material I would have liked to have kept for the sake of improving my writing, if nothing else. The server had too many connections. It lost all of it and the clipboard was not full of the latest copy of it because it contained only the latest link I had copied. My anger simply cannot be explained with words. I am all about
  2. Another forumite in the form of Shard (hey Dave ) from came round last night, and it has thrown my dozy, minute attention span into sharp relief. Halfway through taking an RK-104 into pieces I was, to be quite honest, losing interest in the whole shebang, and for no good reason. We were there to try and fix the bloody accuracy on it and see whats what with the weirdness, but, like everything I do to entertain meself, I found my mind wandering and I was not as engaged in the process as I should've been. God bless you Dave for getting me that far! We stripped all the front end off and
  3. You'd think she would learn by now, wouldn't you? Maybe a can of Tactical RIS-Capable Mace would be of better use than another knockoff surefire and a fake PEQ box .... Lemme clarify, its your gun, you're more than welcome to stick any amount of tactical equipment to it that you like, and I do rape the hell outta some of my guns anyway so I can't exactly take the `moral high ground` in this issue, if indeed there actually is one. Mine are only for display and silliness though, like the Gigant Neo But, in my opinion, and this is gonna offend a lot of people I'm sure, the use of a
  4. Shoes? F**k that. I have consistently failed to buy any footwear for over 2 years now, as Jason will surely attest What I care about most right now (apart from world peace, the sanctity of god and Burger King) is my new toybox - due to arrive either late on Thursday or midday Friday. I counted; as any good airsoft geek should. It contain 4 new guns, and more importantly, the means to fully operate another 3 guns to boot. Yay me. I will have at least 8 fully operational and skirmish-ready AEGs by the end of the week! I'm quite excited. So what have we got in our pocketse

    12-Gauge Glory.

Soooo....... we're having the 8th member of my rather greedy and self-indulgent shotgun family arriving soon, they're coming to dinner - and they may just stay the night ...... Actually, strictly speaking (or typing), that's a metaphor that could be better employed elsewhere, to when I had the pleasurable company of a Tac Launcher for a couple of nights, before it went off to someone else; who had actually paid for it. This new shottie is in fact another of the same Marui series of shotshell shotguns, and it says something about them that this is the 3rd of that merely five-strong se
  6. I honestly don't know which gun, especially as a main weapon, to use in a skirmish. I've mostly tried using my M4, G36C, AUG, G3 SG1, RK 104, M16 with gas M203 and also the M500 shorty and M3 Super 90 shotguns as main guns, and all manner and size of handgun as backups. The recurring problem is that I don't feel comfortable with them, and I have worked this out to be because I like them too much. Aesthetically, I mean; They don't have wonderful personalities, unlike most of the fine people I skirmish with/against, but they look cool enough to buy simply for the sake of looking at and each
  7. I was trying to find a cunning way to call this entry `Salt & Pepper ftw - Assault 'em & Pepper 'em for the win` or something like that but I couldn't make it quite snappy enough. But anyway; After another slightly frustrating game of play on Sunday, that culminated in a glorious (literally) assault game, I have decided one or two things that might ring true with some of you. Maybe not everyone, but I have a feeling it will strike a chord with quite a few. I was tagged around 8 times without getting a single kill during the day, and if it hadn't been for the fact that
  8. Well you would, wouldn't you? I need to get my mitts on the Western Arms M84 spypack deluxe, I love the M84 Cheetah and the M8045 Cougar to bits and I'm getting a second Cougar soon, so it would be utter sacrilege not to have another version of the Cheetah to compliment it. This is an uninformative, non-entertaining and completely pointless entry, purely to draw as much attention to my plight as possible which is that no bugger seems to sell these any more, and I want it so much I would even consider getting it secondhand. So there. If you know somewhere that's flogging 'em g

    HK33 for the win!

The KSC HK33 is the most solid AEG in the world. Ever. Dispute this if you will, and to be fair I haven't actually held/owned any G&P Armalites or STAR SA80s, but for me, out of the 12/13 AEGs I have, the KSC gun am teh bestest. And I'm pretty sure its the best all round, mag issues are the only thing that could cause any complaint in that a] there are no hicaps yet and b] my mag has some of the plating around the top hanging loose, yet still it works fantastically and the mags are definitely the most solid I've ever held (GBB mags don't actually count, but its about as solid as most
  10. My apologies to Snowman for referring to him by the same name as TinTin's dog, but I have to echo and reply to his post on losing interest in airsoft. No mate, your probably not, it is, as you say, the January blues. Almost certainly. I've been thinking similar things lately, and I notice there is a lot of mention in the forums about quitting airsoft too - as if its a major life decision anyway - and a fair bit of angling for sympathy "No man dont leeve airsoft your cool man!!" is what some people would just love to hear, I'm guessing But aside from that there is the nagging we

    The M14 saga: part 2

My Tokyo Marui M14 just arrived. Aaaaaaaand relax. This was my main Christmas present (to my myself, natch) this year, and that's besides the RK-104 I got just before Christmas; this was actually confirmed as a purchase and e-paid on Christmas morning itself. So there ya go, its all official, like. I Haven't counted for a while but I think that makes it 72 guns now, which is nice, and I realised just how `nice` that actually is the other day when I was sitting on the tram from Den Haag to Amsterdam in a dreamy state - but that's another story. So this M14, then. It's great, of
  12. Well it's not a good idea, really. Getting so thoroughly out of your tree that you stop concentrating on reality for too long and the little pixies arrive, bearing special magical presents just for you, is not exactly conducive to an efficient combat experience. I went out for a good old-fashioned boogie (I dislike the overuse of the term `rave` by these kiddies who just don't have any idea...) to the `M club` in Southampton. I even thought of a little pun for this place the the other week; because they display the name in the front of the building as `mclub` all in lowercase, now all you

    Order Shenanigans #1

This is me thinking out loud, m'kay? The "rewired mind and combat:..." entry is coming once I've figured out how I have actually rewired my mind, but, suffice to say, that it was not especially combat efficient. Speaking of which, another classic quote from Sledge had me chortling away today: "....that's because women look good naked; lesbians are porn-efficient" I lol'ed A bit like that, in fact. But anyway, I'm merely thinking out loud and making sure I know what's going on in my airsoft world at the moment. No skirmish for 3 weeks. Despite impending holiday in

    The M14 saga

Goddamn M14s. I'm starting to despise them now, as much as I lust after one they have caused untold misery to millions.... </exaggeration>. No I'm hardly annoyed about it, just a little bewildered, and it's that they are so problematic compared to all other AEGs I've ever bought. I just snubbed Guns N Guys offer of one at £3000 (HKD) which is about £220, in favour of WGC's $318 (USD). The differences of course are that WGC have just quotd me and they want $86 USD for shipping!! Given that they are now guaranteed to get stung by customs with handling and VAT then the total pr

    What not to wear

I'm trying to think of an amusing costume for Sunday's skirmish, it is Christmas after all. I wanted a Santa Claus full-on outfit with a pillow round my waist (getting close to not needing one actually) and the full beard/hat combo. And a sign on my back reading "Ho-Ho-Ho Now I have a Machinegun" Or maybe an elf, that way a green & brown semi-covert ensemble could be fashioned, but this would involve more free time and effort than I actually have/am willing to give up I'll go for some funnies and style but only if I hardly have to exert myself at all I could go as a chee

    Too many guns?

Sometimes I think about my collection and think "Oh dear god, I really cannot be bothered to like these things any more" Really, I do. It almost becomes an effort to give a damn about it all and, if I'm being perfectly honest, the forums here are the only thing that keeps me going in the world of airsoft sometimes. Now maybe, just perhaps-maybe-ish, my interest is renewed mostly out of a sense of greed, one-upmanship and arrogance. Just maybe. I won't deny that I look at the boards and I think of what would be cool to have before anyone else, and despite that being utterly retarde
  17. I'm echoing Ghost_Rider's feelings about blanks here as I was subjected to a similar treat yesterday. (woohoo) After a great skirmish, a mate playfully chucked a grenade at my feet, thinking - in my elated post-skirmish state - that he was chucking it over to check it out I stooped down to pick it up. Barely were my fingers within 12 inches from it and it went off, a 12-bore blank delicately traced my earlobes and soothingly ruptured my very eardrum, nervous system, brain and underwear, in that order. Ok well I didn't actually soil myself, which was nice, but despite the fact I found
  18. It is a truly great thing when you are genuinely happy to die. It means you are content with your acheivements, satisfied of your life's efforts, and have a succesor you are proud to have as your descendant and protege. You have come to terms with your mortality and the cessation of your own brief existence can be reconciled by the knowledge of other's flourishing timelines that move forward in your wake. The acceptance that one can only acheive so much in one lifetime is, hopefully, a comforting thought when you survey all your doings and realise that you have done so much. Of course,

    Spoiling people's fun.

The way the government works *almost* amuses me, it's like they're serially ruining good things for enterprising people. I work for a company that sells a lot of railway sleepers, This may seem extraneous at the present time, but bear with me. Railway sleepers were, by and large, coated in coal tar creosote when they were first manufactured, because it's a damn good preservative. It has preserved and maintained most nations garden fences for the last 100 years, for one thing. We used to turnover buckets of money from this, it was a good business idea and we practically pioneered it
  20. I love 8mm. I really, really love it, seriously. I do not get geeky about guns that much and I don't care about the technical stats and abilities of them as much as I should I suppose, but I must say I am smitten by the things: I really am an 8mm fanboy. It started small, as these things often do, with just about the smallest gun you can get in airsoft (if not the whole world) and that was a Derringer. It's laughable now, but even then I loved it; loading the double breech with 2 rounds, it felt like it was straight out of an Action film - I think the main fascination with 8mm is t
  21. 2nd entry in, and it's a biggie!! No apologies for length; you love it xxx So I have a Tanaka Kar 98. Yes, you can stop hissing now (down, Sid!) but I deserve it, honest. I probably did some incredibly altruistic things in my past lives and I for one believe in retro-active Karma. I have been having problems with it, but I still think of it/her (stopbeingsosad Hippy) as an amazing piece, easily the highest quality firing action, at least, out of all my guns. Yet I find myself almost irrationally disappointed: Is it not a typical Tanaka - refined to the point of causing palp
