Received parkerized like the real one is.
KTcerberus
Very nice, I've been thinking about picking up an Inokatsu M240B with a tripod. The parkerized receiver on that M249 is awesome too, I need to paint mine up to better math the RS colors. Where did you get the majority of your real parts?

Psychosis
Just bought this off a teammate, so I still have to trick it out. Apparently it's missing the front sight locking pin and the safety doesn't seem very solid (safe will give if you pull on the trigger with enough force,) but otherwise I'm pretty glad I finally picked up a SCAR. -=OGGY=-
what brand is that?
Mig1
That's a VFC. You can tell by lots of features, but most easy to identify are the conductors in the stock hinge (and the fact that it is black).
zentaurus
thanks, rufs & bizurkur. still pretty much in WIP stage. the ranger mag, though, was a must do.
apmaman
My front sight pin flew out after the first few days of having the gun. I dont see it as a problem though because I have them folded down all the time. I've also got the safety switch niggle too.
beretta
Thought that was a dboys for a minute, did it come with that flash hider? the cheek piece is a giveaway as to it being the VFC.
Mig1
G&G and Star also have the Gen 3+ cheek rest.
Horse
It has been a while since I have posted a weapon pick or two. Think of this as what a Belgian version of an AK5-D would look like. It is still not finished, but I think you will get the idea of where it is going. The gun is now about 8.5 inches shorter than the regular FNC Shortie. Changes: New hand guard New gas tube New heat shield Chopped barrel (to 190mm) Edited January 24, 2009 by Horse
Mig1
Good thing we know your gun's blood type. In case it gets wounded! But seriously, very nice conversion. Ever thought about trying to scquire real Ak5d handguards and a stock?
Horse
Yes - many times, but they are very rare in the US and cost a LOT of money. I even thought to try Xeno and see if he could find me some. I use that blood type clip to single point the gun off a D-ring.
snipe
I cant seem to find it anywhere but isnt there a Scar on here with a magpul Miad? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/gri...dark-earth.html I thought i saw a pic on here with it but like i said i cant find it and im ordering a Dboys scar in a few weeks! HaVoC
Yeah, I've seen it as well. I thought it looked really nice, and I'm kinda considering putting one on mine sometime. EDIT: According to a guy on Airsoft Forum... Yeah, the MIAD (PTS version) fits on it, but you need longer screws for securing it to the gearbox. That is why I haven't been able to install it yet. I need to find out what size the screws are. Once I do, that MIAD will be on there in a heartbeat. And I found this, too - real SCAR and real MIAD, I think (off the Magpul site): Edited January 24, 2009 by HaVoC
Robinio
very nice Horse I've heard rumours that there is some dude that is suppose to make "copies" of the AK5 handguard but I don't know about the D verision and I think I will be a while it those gets released as for the stock, there isn't much of a difference, but you might refer to the new plastic and fold able stock Heres my P90
snipe
awesome thanks havoc! My only worry though is the portion that comes up the back along the curve of the receiver. If you look at a regular M4 its much taller of a curve than the scar. So thats my only worry
HaVoC
You can switch the backstrap on the MIAD out for one without that, can't you? Apparently though, you can shave the inside of it and it'll fit, so you could try that too.
beretta
Theres 2 types of MIAD, one that has the back curved piece made on, and the other that has the removable one, usually comes with a replacement back piece just like the one in the pic above.
