Wege
and the searching ? gosh.. I am getting peeved with it.. unless my keyword selections suck. Sigh. Right.. I have seen TM M1911A1s in the aforementioned thread. (go read.. some GORGEOUS pieces in there). with Simonich Gunner grips (which appear to be a drop on fit), I saw the Pachmayrs, which I am not aware of a drop on fit (the commentary didn't specify) and I am curious as to what ELSE fits the TM 1911A1 with or without a couple of minor mods. Also, if I would need to get extra/real grip screws as well. Cheers fullas, from a Kiwi down-under.
ezgil
I have some Kimber grips on mine, and am pretty sure that nearly all if not all 1911 RS grips will fit on the TM1911 no problem.
Husky
the TM is drilled properly and will fit all 1911 rs grips. The WE however is misaligned with the grip holes and will not fit.
Wege
that is some Marrrrrrrrvoulous stuff right there. (if you have heard of Richie Benaud and the 12th Man albums, you will know how to say that. ) Cheers
phoenix360mute
yeah, the grip holes are in the right place, but the screws and the screw thread which is in the frame are a tiny bit fatter than true RS grips, so you may need to make the hole in the grips a fraction bigger to accomodate some, not all, but some grips
Tuulos
Pachmayrs fit straight on.
The Saint
the TM is drilled properly and will fit all 1911 rs grips. The WE however is misaligned with the grip holes and will not fit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How much of a misalignment are we talking about?
Husky
i sold my WE before i bought grips for it but i've heard its quite a misalignment... enough to screw up the grips positioning.
