Light Fighter
Blazer: You have a lot of CQBisms in what you are calling a recon loadout. I'd suggest getting a helmet and an m4 and calling it a Direct Action loadout.
Chevieblazer
helmet like in the last pic? that was the general idea i was going after: Edited April 10, 2008 by Chevieblazer
Light Fighter
Didnt notice the helmet. It would be looking great if not for the SCAR
Chevieblazer
Yea, well, I'd show it with an M4, if WGC finally came around to ship the stuff I ordered before it keeps going out of stock but it's supposed to be 2008, and afaik, the scars have begun to get handed out last year

dolla billz
That armor I believe s not a PBPV armor. The cut of it is similar but I believe the one n the pic is made by safariland. Do you have a high res of the pic by any chance? Edited April 23, 2008 by dolla billz
Mahahalkoja
No, sorry. Can you tell any details that makes the difference with these?
dolla billz
http://www.specwargear.com/images/armor&am...%20vest%205.jpg The elastic on the side is too wide to be for the PBPV.

HeuteGegangen
That's flag raiders in Cambridge Ontario, my favorite field so far
Sgt. Kinnaird
Now you have That armor is not a PBPV. Like you guys were saying, the elastic is too wide on the sides, and it appears that there is an external back plate pocket, which the PBPV did not have.

BoE.Solidius
Outstanding newhotness! If you cut two small holes in that MOLLE backpack then soeone could fit in there and stick their legs into the dump pouch and POOF you have your cover fire. HAH! NIce setup! BTW where did you get that knife sheath? I have a similar knife that may be able to fit with some modifications. Edited May 7, 2008 by BoE.Solidius

BoE.Solidius
This connects seamlessly to the SERPA leg rig correct? It seems the sheath has a few screw placements for screwing into the left and right side mounts. Am I right? Just being cautious before I buy it, want to make sure it attatches right. Chevieblazer
@ newhotness: personal BA under the plate carrier (to provide shrapnell protection) take the helmet cover off and spray the helmet something brown/tan/ish stuff like pistol mags should be mounted on your firstline (aka your blastbelt), also goes for your holster fold the antenna a little bit
chillindrdude
@ newhotness: personal BA under the plate carrier (to provide shrapnell protection) no a paca would be appropriate, because most hard plate armor REQUIRE soft armor underneath to stop blunt trauma injuries and complete their NIJ ratings. in even "standalone" plate armor, soft armor underneath is still recommended. they do make soft armor inserts for the Eagle PC, but most operators that i've seen wearing them have worn a PACA underneath.
