The Crunchy Bunny
Really awesome pics Top. The only critique I have is that I'd lose the shemag, thier not seen really ever, I know I wouldn't want that thing flapping on my neck when I'm fast roping out of a chopper. matfar
Hi, RAVs in MJK and SG. This is not a RAV, it's a custom made by Tim, before the creation of Paraclete. Â @Top : cool team impression. I like the second pic, remind me some pics of the 31st RQS during Northern Edge 2006. Â Some advices : -Ditch the CIRAS, it's really not a PJ stuff. -Those big 1st lines are not necessary (especially dump pouches), you look like more of SFG, just grab a safariland an an IFAK on an duty belt, rappeling harness, and that's it. -ABU is not well liked by PJs, and not in use on conflict zone. -Last pic : the guy in tan needs a body armor. Â Â Â PS : I forget, be gentle with the girl Edited January 9, 2009 by matfar
Jolly15
Thanks for the info, I realized that it wasn't a RAV after I posted.
navymp28
Â and about the shemagh: Â Â I think it's good to go.
HeuteGegangen
Any clue what the fastex on his MICH is for?
Wrench Bender
Not sure thats a mich.
Jolly15
It looks like the one with out the ear domes, whatever that versions called.
matfar
Jolly is right, it's a MICH tc2001. Â I don't know what the fastex are for, maybe securing ANVIS (there is an AN/AVS mount on front of it), or fasten it at the first/second/third line when he takes his helmet off.
navymp28
Fastex are most likely for attaching to kit...but I would venture to say because of the vlecro on the rear he has some sort of NVG counterweight and has the Fastex as a rendundency because in wet and mud...velcro fails.
matfar
Why not, especially as ANVIS needs a battery pack. Â Â But, imagine there is the battery pack on it now, why to put fastex below the battery pack at the risk of losing it and disconnect the NVGs? While it will not move if he put it above the pack in case of velcro fails. Â It's a interesting theory, but not really right, I think.
navymp28
Or he has PVS18's, and just has aweight back there..like I have on my MICH right now here in Iraq. So good chance it's pretty close.
matfar
No, he has ANVIS
Bronco5150
And you know this for sure from a BACK view of a lid? Â Yeah...
matfar
Yeah, thanks for asking,  for sure I have superpower, I can see through tc-2001, but just 2001, that don't work on 2000 or 2002, maybe I should try on protec helmets...  Oh, and I have an other super power : imageshack  see,
echodafish
He has no battery pack for that oh great wise one. If you use you magical powers of observation you would see he is running two lithium batteries for his nods. He does NOT have the battery pack adaptor on there. Edited January 11, 2009 by echodafish
matfar
Clearly, so the battery pack theory is wrong.
echodafish
Right so just like Navy said.... counter weight and attaching to kit.
