rwham
I am planning on getting a TM Deagle soon, assuming I have the money. I have heard conflicting reports about the performance on propane, ranging from 10,000 shots through with no problems, to a broken slide 3 mags through. Does anyone here own one, or at least have anything conclusive to say about it?
hkssr20det
I have a few thousand through mine with the abs slide and no damage whatsoever.
Five-sEvEn
I have two, with so many rounds and so many owners, that the slides have broken. If you want I can provide pictures. and where to put metal reinforcement to improve reliability. Basically, I completely dissagree with the 3 mag rumor, but can only partially agree with the 10k+ round report. From my experience, they can handle green, but eventually wear to the point where reinforcement of the inner barrel unit is necessary.
rwham
Hmm... So should I or should I not risk it on GG? Is there anywhere I could buy a cheap metal slide if it was needed?
danr
as far as i know, the only metal slide available is the Zeke one. and that's about $100 before shipping from the Hong Kong Shops. I think WGC has it in stock, but can't remember.

hkssr20det
That would be your call.
hardboiledcop
or perhaps you should look back over your "conflicting reports" and see that 99.9% of people use green gas in their TM DE with no issues. ALL new TM GBB's take green, without question. It is common knowledge and gets stated on this forum on an almost daily basis.
COUNCILSAMSH
I have a year-old TM DE. The only wear using GG is in the slide where it hits the slide catch- This is also with upgraded hammer and recoil springs.
rwham
Okay, so what I need to know now is if I order from poweredge will it have intact trades? I emailed them and go no response.
SNOGER
Dont listen to thoes myths. The deagle can handle gree gas very well. I have one and have had no problems with it.

doopydoo
Well? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't count on it, it's a US based site I think. Hawaii.
hkssr20det
I have bought two guns from Poweredge USA and both have come with taped trades. Most DE in the US have full trades, since apperantly IMI and Magnum Research don't really care.
rwham
Well, now I am torn between a deagle and a used TM M3 Super 90... I guess I should see if I have the money first...
Five-sEvEn
Get the Desert Eagle, MUCH more fun than an M3. I've owned a short length converted M3 from Inferno, and even with all the shells I've had, and the insane range it got with it's upgraded TN barrels, I still would've prefered one of my DEs with a few mags over it any day. rwham
Okay, I am now looking at holsters. I was browsing through a RS webiste for holsters, and noticed that the shoulder holster I want says "Magnum Research Desert Eagle holster", while there is another (thigh holster) that says "fits any six inch Desert Eagle". What is the difference, if any, and will the shoulder holster fit the TM? rwham
Read the post next time... Is there a difference between the Magnum Research DE, and any other six inch DE.
Sledge
Ok, I'll bite: who else makes a DE?
rwham
I...don't know. The site says one is for Magnum Research, and the other "any six inch DE". I am trying to find out if there is a difference.
hardboiledcop
The point is there are different model DE's, from different stages in the gun's development, all made by Magnum Research. The holsters you've shown aren't leather or moulded plastic, hence any DE will fit, as stated.
Pablo
I...don't know. The site says one is for Magnum Research, and the other "any six inch DE". I am trying to find out if there is a difference. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So ask the question plainly, and don't get shirty when you don't like the answer. Posting a petulant "Well?" when we don't all drop what we're doing and start doing your research for you isn't going to win you any friends either.
elros
Hello. I'm new here. Looking for a DE holster myself. Anyway. I've read a bit about the real DE and I know it comes in a variety of calibers and with either a six inch or ten inch barrel. So I would assume that when it says "fits any six inch Desert Eagle" it means that it'll take any caliber six inch barrel DE, and not the ten inch DE. Yours, the TM verstion, is six inches if it's the newer Hard Kick version like mine. They don't make that one in 10" as far as I know. Anyway. My brother is going to place an order with RedWolf soon, and I can't figure out if any of their holsters will fit my DE. Can someone help? ... Hang on, I fond one that's supposed to fit: this one, the Milspex Pistol Holster. thanks Okay, I am now looking at holsters.
