Motor Overheat

A few more details might help... Like what gun you're talking about.

The motor in my M4 used to overheat because the bushes were worn.

Also, be warned that the trigger and selector plate contacts are not too well made on the ICS M4. If the motor is overheating then the electrical contacts will probably be burning out too.

OH, then I know what the problem is. My brushes fell off after I had to take my motor out. :)

Thanks

what do you mean "overheat". you'll only know a motor has reached critical temperture when it fails permanantly, as the lacquer on the coils melts.

also, what do you mean the brushes fell off? they should not be able to fall out, theyre held in with very sturdy springs.

I dunno..

Its teh stuff on the bottom.. Next to the wire connectors..

And will this cause my motor to not be able to completely cycle the gears?

no brushes = non functioning motor at all.

have you done any gearbox work recently? who shimmed the box last? what bushings are you using?

Also, what gun is it (be specific please).

As a rule, they don't put extra bits on airsoft guns.

If anything has fallen off, it'll probably stop working. ;)
