I have a replica rangers vest, they are wickedly good.

I have got a question concerning the size. Is Medium actualy a "medium" in size? I'm just wondering about this because these repro gears made in asia seems to have different standard than "average standards".(most often found on bodyarmor replicas.) How do you find this issue with your repro(milspex I suppose?) range vest?

Thanks in advance.

BTW. transformer rocks. I hope they make a sequal.

There is a similar one by Krukspec http://krukspec.com/images/copy%203.jpg

also another guy on the ASCUK forums had had an almost exact replica made by a german company, but he hasnt told anyone whom, incase crye found out and started getting nasty about it.

if crye do start selling them to the airsoft market they would run around the £3000 mark.

so Crye either has to lift the copyright on the armour and sell the idea to a company that will produce them for the airsoft market or we need to rob Crye.

either way is good.

but if Crye sell's the design it would be well worth the money for the company who bought it, becasue there are so many airsofters who want that armour.

well one chasis costs at the least $3000 so do you think that Crye would cut that by 80% just for airsofters? no. they wouldn't even make a chasis just for Airsoft. so even if they are available to the airsoft market as RS gear, they would sell them at for the same price if not more becasue they are seperate orders and not one large contract were they would offer a discount for however man hundreds they sell.

As for the KrukSpec, i said it is similar, due to the front and back panel shapes. but like you said it is nothing like it.

They would cut it by 80% because:

A-It doesn't need to be made to the same specs, and;

B-It wouldn't need to be made of bullet resistant materials, nor would it need a plate carrying pocket.

Would it be expensive? Yes. But it would also be among the best designed MOLLE vests on the market.

Yes, there is: More money.

They can sell them to airsofters, movie studios, and Mil/LEO/PMC/anyone else who want a less expensive version of the Crye Battle Chassis, but don't necessarily need or want the additional protection that the real thing provides.

Remember, we're talking about a small company that turns out most of its finished products in small quantities.

Meh. I'll buy one if they do, I'll buy something else if they don't. You're probably better off with something else that's real and in MultiCam than in a close-but-not-very-close clone. The characters in Transformers are more likely to wear something in MultiCam by DBT, TT, or Eagle, than in a poor-looking replica.

Well why couldn't Crye sell their license to produce their Body Armor just like they've sold the license to produce multicam?

Someone could make a non-bullet proof version strictly MOLLE vest and sell it for around $400.00 and make a killing. The reason the real deal are expensive is the fact that its made to be a level III vest.

this is my homemade version of a urban digital crye vest. still working on the crye helmet. it wasn't as difficult as i thought it would have bin to make. it took a little online research and reading my girlfriends sewing machine manual. got about 10 hours in it now. for padding i just used yoga mat. as for the plates and plastic i will hopefully cast them tomorrow

'Transformers' indeed kicked *albartroth* (my eyes had orgasms) and the loadouts seen have surely elavated Crye Precision even higher.

I loved the scene where there was MARPAT, ACU, Temperate and Multicam all in a row (on the Dam) - Camo-porn!
