Jay L.Macrae Posted July 20, 2007 Report Share Posted July 20, 2007 Hi! I've got a stock TM M14 SoCoM running on an 8.4V 1700mah NiCad. Unfortunately players here, myself included, sometimes have sometimes trouble recognizing bullets hitting em slower than 3*0fps. So I've been thinking of upgrading it with an systema M100 spring or similar/lesser, but don't want to lose too much of the crisp and quick trigger to fire action of its stock form and i can't really go higher voltage wise (financial and logistical reasons)... Or otherwise I'll be left with no gun with proper CQB abilities. So the question is How slow will it go? I know it'll be difficult for you to give any accurate measured stats... But If you Have an M14 with a similar upgrade - give me your before and after thoughts on it. Link to post Share on other sites
Stealthbomber Posted July 20, 2007 Report Share Posted July 20, 2007 An EG1000 at 8.4v should have no problems winding an M100 spring. I have an M100 spring in my P90, taking it to just under 330fps, and the change in ROF was barely noticeable, even using 8.4v mini batteries. I have noticed that battery life is now shorter so the spring does have some effect but it isn't noticeable in ROF. Link to post Share on other sites
