gisburn20
I just had a couple of name tapes with my forum screen name made here http://www.pictures2stitches.com/ they also do unit T shirts and other emdroidered stuff with custom logos.... so i have emailed them with a copy of the forum logo to see if it would be possible to reproduce it, and if so how much. (Hope this is ok with the mods/admins/arnie etc and not a copyright problem, if not ok just let me know.) Jim
apmaman
Velcro patches to stick on my kit and a mug would be grand. The one at work broke and I dont want to use my Marshall Amplification one. Its too cool.

billymak
I'm reminded of the British weather when I think about this... I donno, brolly with various arnie designs? I know it'll end up being awkward or complicated to out-sourse or contract somebody to make or arrange, but it's an idea. Brit weather right? or random things for the car, so if you're picking up or dropping off mates that skirmish (or not) but don't use arnie's... they'll see that (hopefully) Again, my imagination takes things a bit far, but what about figurines that replicate the current cartoon design of "arnie"? keyrings/fobs, wallets, phone straps... designs may vary, but perhaps along the line of semi military/subdued like mentions of the patches in previous posts above. ------------ I have a friend who works in advertising and specialises in promo-keepsakes and what not. I'm going see if they have anything that is affordable but fresh to the promotional world as to attract attention and curiousity. ------------ Also, I know where we can get patches made. I'm also willing to help if decision makers give go ahead and the ones who assume responsibility choose/nominate designs for patches or whatever. We've had team patches made - very straight forward - local business - small batches welcome etc. And it has been simple and painless. The ones who got patches were just a small team/community based in hong kong, and I'm talking about like less than 50?. Patches were a one off thing. So if we're considering that, we can make a small test batch without any further obligations, and won't be left with a bag of something no one wants if it turns out unpopular. Throw-back to about a year ago... Darklite mentioned name/business cards for representatives when visiting vendors/business owners. Any update on current stance/action? Marlowe
Arnie's bumper stickers? On second thoughts, best not. With some of the half-wits you get at some skirmish sites you'd come back to find your car bricked. Business cards...I'm afraid I've heard nothing. You'd probably have to do it yourself if you wanted some.
Anteater
Patches(iron-on and velcro) and stickers(normal adhesive and cling-on) would be more versital and cheaper all around than getting full BDU sets/jackets/vests. Be impractical when you can just sell patches/stickers that people can put on whatever they want. One of my friends has a stencil printer/cutter at work that he used to spray some layered images on the back of his BDU tops that looks nice, I dunno about selling this but It might be interesting to offer a printable stencil icon that can be resized if anyone wants to spray their items with either the site's logo or a site icon. billymak
Calendars in various sizes, so you can have it at the desk or on the wall? LOL litre bottles that fit on bikes' drink holders, holdall/duffles... etc and just stencil or sticker things on. our own brand tea and coffee? Arnie's own single estate full bodied coffee bean... AA coffee, AA Assam, AA oolong... ahem ._. sorry. I just found out how much it takes to get cards made... roughly, not that we ALL suddenly want cards made. As we're like... internet age now. But cards are like 80 quid for a thousand at current exchange rates... Apparently my company's ordering some at that price. Good quality card paper thingy mabob... lacquered and all that. Whatever design you can come up with... as anal as you want to get. Incidentally, our company is also blueish in design.
billymak
only half serious, but just want to share my mad thoughts... Arnie's advent calendar, chinese new year calendar and fortune cookies! haha sorry Ipod and phone covers? dash board trinkets and furry... AEGs? ------- Will be able to get quotes on cards and velcro nametapes. Just need somebody else to head an opinion poll or make the decision on wording/design. Anyone have adobe illustrator? Anyway, cheap cheap here for cards and nametape, and in reasonable first batches with nametape. (yes I'm fine with paying first... not expecting money in return, I have used this website for a wee while, I thought I could help a bit) still marlowe and whoever has time... please let me know if this would actually be wanted. would suck if it's just... oh I jsut wanted a few when I send 100 nametapes over and 500-1000 cards Edited November 21, 2008 by billymak
gisburn20
Arnies logo patches with velcro would seem to be the way ahead ! Jim
billymak
thinking out loud actually~~~ let's see if a summary of this thread would get better attention on news page at the front. Somebody get to the chopper and write something up... get a poll going, and make decision on what design patches/nametags/cards they want for arnie promo. But even if we went full steam ahead by magic and luck, nothing will be made soon. Christmas, new year and chinese new year is coming early - late Jan... So if any of you have a real idea of how to get designs done on adobe, a realistic estimate batch amount and how to get this idea across to people on this forum AND THEN have a way of promoting arnie's... I'll get to work and pay for the patches or cards etc Anyone who's got experience in promotions, printing press, organising *suitcase*... say something now... but this section of the forums is starting to look like the smoking room after the smoking ban. billymak
Anyone who's got experience in promotions, printing press, organising *suitcase*... say something now... I'd appreciate any ideas, but please provide more than one line. My idea is that we need something that gets attention from the general public, something you use that is "out in the open" perhaps, in the office you can use calendars, organisers, mugs (as has always been with promotions)... Them bottles that fit in bike racks. Ipod skins, but that's getting fancy and expensive. Postcards are a bit OLD fashioned but that DOES get "out in the open"... You see what I mean? I don't think this section gets read by 95% of the forums. Let's poll that... how many of us read this part? Arnie's Poker set!
Kousnik
I think calendars and velcro patches are the best suggestions so far. mouse pads are a close 3rd place. i cant see myself spending anything on half of the other ideas, though.
Walton_County_Firefighter
I'd go nuts for a velcro patch for my ACU's. I think it'd be a great way to support the site financially.
