The Saint
Can anyone with the I-RACK + Super Harness combo give me some tips on how to get to chest portion of the rack to stop sagging? It seems that the D rings on the Super Harness are too low to properly suspend the chest panel, because the standard harness works fine. Would I have to go as far as modding the harness? The Waco Kid
I've had this problem. I would suggest moving the position of the press stud loops that hold up the bib. Re-sew them in a position similar to the ones on the standard straps. You will need to make sure the size adjustment is correct as sewing through the shoulder straps will fix the straps in place as they are "free floating" through the back of the harness. I only use the modified padded harness when not wearing a vest underneath and the plain straps when it's on over other gear. That way I don't need to adjust the size anyway. The Waco Kid
Correction. I meant the position of the D-rings on the shoulder straps not the press stud loops.
Loe
I stitched a stiffer pannel in behind the chest panel.
ViscountCharles
Erm, my harness is completely adjustable - with a bit or work, you can adjust the length of the front part of the straps, to move the D-rings higher up or further down. No resewing required.
The Waco Kid
Yeah I know but I find that with a lots of use & full loaded it seems to gradually creep loose again. Maybe I jump up & down to much?
The Saint
Also, if one's not a particularly large person and likes to wear it higher up, the adjustable-ness won't help because there's no slack in the strap left to adjust.
The Waco Kid
With harness I altered I adjusted it to the point it will just pull on over my head, marked & stiched it. I now only use the zipper to take the vest off. It is very snugg and does move about at all which helps to distribute the weight onto the hips.
