Particularly the line The Minimi light machine gun was developed by the famous Belgian company FN Herstal, in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The M249 is different as you can see from the photographs. Upper the original. Latter the US adopted. As you can see differences include heat shield, stock, sights and flash hider.
