T0p Sp!N
I bet it was something like 'Oh poo' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More like "Bob Saget!!!" Anyway, I'm sure this'll come out fine as your other pieces did. Keep up the good work! :salute:

Auroris
Well, that's just lovely! I thought that building a SPAS 12 handguard cage would be too difficult, but after seeing that, I may have to commission you after this project!
Triggerhappychappy
"If the cash is there, he dont care" Should be Candyman's motto- build anything for anyone so long as he gets paid. Now, about that Gatling gun.....
uscmCorps
Well, that's just lovely! I thought that building a SPAS 12 handguard cage would be too difficult, but after seeing that, I may have to commission you after this project! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why build a SPAS 12 cage when you can buy them? Candyman
Started hacking the bottom of the lower body up for the magazine, bit hit and miss ....got bored and started working on a nice fluffy easy bit, yay!
uscmCorps
Very impressive. How did you plane the inner cavity of that trigger guard?
he's in the bushes!!!
this is some real qualuty custom work forget sticking a metal body on an AEG and adding a scope and calling it "custom" this right here..... thats real custom that is
jailhouse
One word "gorgeous". With skills like this CM is an artist of the highest calibre. I can't wait to see this finished. CM, are you going to record a test firing session? Will you be using the dual scope set up? jh
Grumman
Ecellent work on this. Will you skirmish with the finished product or just plink and display? Does the real thing have 2 magazines attached to it?
Candyman
Thank you all for your kind words . uscmcorps: I milled the "inside surface" by having the piece on its side, laying flat then using the side of the cutter along the surface. jailhouse: I will probably do some video of the final thing, just sticking to the 1 scope I think, the 2nd is a night vision (i think). Grumman : I may skimish with the final gun, I was concidering using the Alpine. If not then at the very least I will be showing it off at the test range of Finmere, where you will be welcome to have a look, and possibly a go if I think your up to it! Aod
Does the real thing have 2 magazines attached to it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes. the frontmost one (closest to muzzle) is a spare mag. the rearmost one is the feed mag. when they are empty, the user will swap the magazines around, saving time on reloads. axl
That is gorgeous!! I can't wait to see what it looks like when you're done. I'm so jealous
0 armalite 0
I can't wait to see the whole thing finished already... Everytime you post a new bit up I get excited - I might actually spas-out when I see the whole thing :s This was the first topic I tried to find this morning funnily enough. - official Candyman Fanboy -
Triggerhappychappy
Did I also mention people pay good money for custom machines trigger guards, and highly polished ones like what you can produce with not that much effort (you know what I mean, its easy for you but most of us would struggle) are even more popular. I would get one for the rifle, but the trigger gaurd is integral to the stock. You want to speak to the guys at B.A.R., they like to sell custom bits & bobs and could use someone with skills like yours.
Trasher
Best thread on Arnies, ever. It's like watching a mini-series.
rallymad_nad
It was definitely .22 but I don't know much about calibers further than that. Either way, it was a seriously nice piece of kit, and I hope yours turns out as good CM. CC <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That and you wont find many (if any) caliber over .22 being shot on any range in the UK, seeing that you wont get a Section 1 FAC for large caliber rifles for target shooting, normally only game shooting etc. The reason being why do you need large calibers to put a hole in a target? Great build here, totally missed this one until now!! Keep it up.
Candyman
On to the trigger, bit hit and miss as to how it will attach but thats the risk you take. Made a little cardboard template, about the right size. hacked out the rough shape..... something like that..... trim, neaten it.... made a hole in the guard and work out where to pivot it and a hole in the receiver pivot point really needed to be a bit further back than I had metal on the trigger so had to bolt a section on the back and pivot it on that, messy messy from me but you wont see any of it so no harm done i guess
jailhouse
Candyman that is looking so uber cool. If i was a wealthy guy, i would definitely commission you for a super cool work of art. How about an Lee Metford or Martini Henry rifle? Cant wait to see the finish and test firing. jh
Royal-Air-Force
How much you want for it when its finished?
Candyman
maybe £2000
Royal-Air-Force
Hmmm...i was thinking more the £200-£300 mark. Personally i would suggest alot more than £2000. Some of the custom guns and Asahi's are more than that and their not exactly custom to this extent.
Triggerhappychappy
With referemce to the last pic posted- how is that messy? Its a perfectly neat & clean join, the only thing I would change is the Philips head screw for an allen headed one, but like you said, no-one will ever see it so who cares.... It looks more beasty than Vanessa felts and more stunning than a 50,000 volt taser to the nuts....
