I am not scared. My point is. They got caught, and traced. Which is how we knew it was the PLA. What comforts me, is that you don't hear too often about the U.S hacking other peoples governments. Which obviously means we are better at it.

Eh, *fruitcage* it. Lets go to war.

England you got our backs right? Germany?

Which brings me to my next point, if a major war ever happened again. Look at how many people are on the Allied side this time around.

Pretty much the whole axis army + the old allies, and some new guys V.S some very unlucky nation.

Nah

We`ll sit on the fence like you did in the past 2 WW`s till we can be arsed to fight

sound good to you ;)

More like till you've racked up such a debt we'll be swimming in your money for the next 60 years :P

@Troubadour: Surely you mean Britain, not England :P and simply because you don't hear in the press that the Americans/NATO/GCHQ were caught hacking the Kremlin or something doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Just means that we haven't been told :P Never trust the Govt. Never trust the media. Take everything with several grains of salt.

I don't see why everyone feels the need to point out that you're not America's *badgeress*. Nobody said you were.

Take a step back from your dislikes of American politics right now and think about this clearly.

Fact is: Europe and the US have very similar values, and we're allies regardless of how much we dislike their current administration. When we get into World War 3, we are going to support the US with everything we've got. And I don't really see how that is a bad thing...

To be honest, that's not really true either. When you're the world's only superpower and probably most influential economy, your politics can have a major effect on other countries across the globe. I think that gives pretty much everyone the right to criticise you.

I think someone misunderstood my sarcasm and told me to die. Please grow up, and be mature.

Also, I noticed a lot of people are criticizing the U.S when they really have no idea. I believe someone made a comment about freedom of press, and then laughed. Please make that comment again when you go to a poor tyranny ridden country, and turn on one of their TVs. You'll see what Freedom of Press means. Sure the government lies to us, but I am fine with it. I seriously, don't wanna know. When the people know, the general remaining ignorance of a mass of people usually tends to take over. So I am completely fine with being lied to. It makes things easier.

Discounting the fact that you didn't use a smilie to denote sarcasm, the general tone of your previous post did not come over as sarcasm at all, it came over as an ignorant, stupid war-mongering yank who doesn't realise that good men (and women) die in war.

Therefore, that is the reason I said "Please die." you wanted a war, why don't you die yourself instead of the good men and women who you want to send over to do your bidding.

Just before another yank jumps in - I'm not being "anti american", or "ameri-bashing" in this post (although I can see how you may think so, with "ignorant, stupid war-mongering yank. However chaps, remember that there a many ignorant, stupid war-mongering people in this world of different nationalities, even some of us Brits are), although I am "bashing" the particular yank who posted the post above this one.

I am not a war-monger. I find war a disgusting, horrible evil in our world. I don't know why you are trying to be so particularly hostile towards me. There is no reason for you to tell me to go off and die, or call me names. I am not going to continue to scuffle with you after this post, because well this is tha intarweb.

*Starts to sing*

"Why can't we be friends! Oh, why can't we be friends!"

You are fine being lied to? OK I can understand that, but you do have a point.

It is indeed better to just go our little lives, we just can't compete against the government.

All in all Belgium is by far a bad place to live. (even if 50 % of our income goes to taxes)

But don't forget a power is always chosen by the people.

The fact that the current president/his lackeys are a total group of scumbags doesn't make America anything less. In all honesty the majority of the nation doesn't like Bush, even the republican party can't hope to get a chance in politics if they support Bush/war. He got in the first time by a shady election, and even then somthing like 49% of the country voted for him population wise. The second time was his exploitation of the countries fear/panic after 9/11. In my opinion Bush has been the most damaging to Americas views.

And for the idiots sh***ng on our Constitution. Alot of good men and woman have died defending it, and alot more would die to protect it. Simply put, don't do it no other countries can even compare. I am glad I don't have to worry about things like the Government taking away my right to have a gun, or to tell me what I can and cannot publish/read/watch on TV etc...

Many of Bushs policies go against the Constitution/Bill of Rights. Look at Gitmo/Abu Ghareb, he has also basically gone into Iraq without congress' permission. It makes me sick to think of him as an American let alone our president.

I find it slightly odd that you can wax lyrical about your glorious constitution protects your rights and then, in the same paragraph, point out that your government ignores the constitution when it feels like it.

They've told everybody how evil ay-rabs are and are using that fear to treat them unconstitutionally.

What makes you think the constitution will help when they convince the public that gun owners, car owners or whatever else are also evil?

The simple fact is that you're already part of the "Us vs Them" mentality and you're fine with that as long as you're part of the "Us". See how much use your constitution is when you happen to end up as a "Them" over something.

no i said the pres and his lackeys are scumbags and it makes me sick that they are considered americans, let alone running our government. I have an unbridled loathing for the current government party and I stated some reasons up there. Even if it is the dirty arabs that are being tortured it is un-American but that doesn't seem to bother bush. Bush has congress/senate stacked with his lackeys so he can do what-ever and they will OK it.

I thought I explained it in the first paragraph...

And on the child porn: That kind of stuff is a crime, given what that kind of stuff will do to a child, ruining their life and such, it is disgusting. But hey I can go out and buy myself a real gun, or upgrade my airsoft gun to shoot *** FPS un-hindered how many of you Brits can say that? (hint: none)

If the USA is so much better, why don't you use ASR instead?

Alternatively, if this UK site is better, maybe the message is that it's not the toys. It's the way you use them. ;)

There are a lot of good things about living in the United States, and a lot of bad things about living in the United States. Am I glad that I grew up here? Yes, I am quite happy that I grew up here. I have it a lot better off then most of the world. That may sound arrogant, and if it is. I guess I am just your average arrogant American.

Also, I could make generalizations about everyone else here from other countries. However, I am not. So please don't assume things about people from the U.S, just because hating the U.S is cool. Which it is, its even cool for people in the U.S to hate their own country. With little in the way of facts, or actual knowledge just some talking head told them to.

You talk as though that's something to be proud of.

Personally, I'd rather not be in country where a large proportion feel they need to protect themselves with lethal weapons.

I suppose that's the benefit of living in a reasonably civil society.
