Holy heck Snorkelman, thats insane.  I have to ask why (other than the obvious reason that they are awesome).

A - cause Im insane :P

B - cause its only money

C - cause you can never have too many airsoft guns (well untill you run out of room and have to shove them into storage lol)

See my profile for more details.

I just realised I also have a Toytec P90, a Maruzen MP5k and a couple of NBB pistols that didn't make the list either.

I really feel guilty about notowning an AK. I feel like I should order one of those chinese AKSUs cos it was such a great gun in the PC Game "Chaser" but, I'm just done buying guns.

Stealth, you're just showing off :P

Honestly, I just like to "sample" guns. I just buy what interests me. Unfortunately, I just haven't mastered the art of selling them afterwards. :D

I figure the reason I originally bought the gun must still be valid or I wouldn't have bought it to begin with.

The people that baffle me are the ones with half a dozen AKs or AR15s.

Once you've had one, surely you want something different, rather than something basically the same?

Urm, I dunno.

*goes to count the gun list in my profile*

I've got 19 altogether

8 AEG's

2 Shotguns

1 Grenade Launcher

8 Pistols

I'm picking up another AEG on sunday and buying another pistol or two. I've also got a M635 project on the go.

That total doesnt include my springers and old nbb as there not really skirmishable so they dont count.

well as far as the AKs go you can get shortys, 47's fixed stock 74s, side folders, AKMs 103s and 105s so theres a fair few to plough through to complete the set before doubling up much same with M16s mp5s glocks and 1911s

I know but that's what I mean. I've never had the urge to "collect" a particular type of gun.

I just buy an AR15, for example, figure out how it feels, how the controls work and how the airsoft gun comes to bits and I'm done.

I then move onto MP5s or something else and do the same.

Back when the only things the chinese were making was LPEGs it was very easy for people to buy half a dozen of them cos they looked so cool but then, when you start to examine them you'd get that horrible, hollow, "buyers remorse" feeling when you realise that, basically, they were all the same but different shapes.

That's how I'd start to feel if I had an M16 and an M4 and a HK416 and... etc.

I can see how "collecting" grabs you.

The closest I'm coming to "collecting" is with HK or FN guns. Fortunately, the airsoft ones are all diverse enough that it's not quite the same as buying AKs or AR15s.

Just personal taste. I like for every gun to be a completely new adventure.

Course, that's not always a good thing, like when I tried to rebuild my M14 trigger for the first time the other day.

H&K MP5SD2 (ICS)

H&K MP5A2 (CA)

H&K MP5K

Glock 17 (KSC)

Glock 18 (KSC)

Glock 19 (KWA)

Glock 34 (KSC)

H&K USP (KJW)

H&K USP (DE)

:P

are those groups really that much more different from each other than AKSU versus an AK47 or AKM

hehe I do know what you mean though - I just reckon when someone gets into a particular weapon family the differences between them take on a greater/more obvious feel than they would to someone who has casual or nil interest in that weapon group

ie for me a glocks well urm a glock but a makaorv could be east german chinese soviet or bulgarian, PM or PMM commercial or military etc and the differences are then easy to spot whereas for someone into glocks they'd be saying come on you must be able to see the differences between a 17 and 34

that said I do have some guns that are currently pretty much identical (3 escort MP5 A5s and 3 AKSUs) which I'll admit on surface IS weird however long term plan is to convert one of the MP5s to early type with narrow handguard, trigger group and straight mags and possibly a fixed stock, while another one will be getting the bling treatment for the fun of it the importnt aspect there being that neither of those alterations I'd consider doing if I only owned the one.

Likewise for the AKSU's I'll keep the VFC exactly as it is for sentimental reasons while the two new ons I'l gut for gas conversion (with both being constructed differently one could well be an easier platform for conversion than the other)

for other folks where load outs are important Id guess sticking to a particular platform allows them to vary just certain details of a load out rather than having to come up with two completely different load outs for completely different guns?

I "need" to get an AK :) I think I need some more AEGs. I like to get what I call "project guns", buying a pre-made "custom" or fully ready to go gun (AEG) just doesn't tickle my fancy.

I can't sell my guns - I like to horde stuff! I still curse chucking out some airsoft bits a few years back, won't make that mistake again

Selling my stuff isn't in my nature :P

You can never have enough AR style weapons!!!

I just wish I had more!

Ok... now, where's every one store their guns?

Closet?

Under bed?

Secret room in garage?

Batcave?

scattered around our flat at one stage but change of job means Im not at the flat anywhere near as often as in the past. That would mean leaving them unnatended (as other half aint keen on bulk of them being at the house and doesnt use the flat much) so I've ended up moving most of them into storage till work setles down.

Pistols go under my bed in their boxes, I'm planning on getting a multi pistol case for them tho.
