sQUATINGdOG
Mosquito molds has released one of the things for airsofting that I have always wanted: a booby trap. It is the form of a Moscart grenade shell. but has legs, and is wire detonated. There is a pin with a ring in the back of it that you can tie fishing line to. One of the best things about this though, is that since it requires no launcher(such as the m79) it is very cheap. It is only $105 U.S. The only place i have seen this product for sale is on Redwolfairsoft.com Have fun, watch MXC, Reno 911, and above all else, airsoft.
Arnie
http://www.caw.co.jp/store/mosquito/cart/trap.html The trap has been out for quite some time if that's the one you're thinking of.
sp00n
... That thing has been around even before I was even into airsoft (3 or so years ago)
Antagon
Wasnt the first one very dangerous? And recalled until they made the II?
jml
$105 dollars is in my opinion, not exactly cheap. I think I would rather make my own.
Antagon
Well the grenade itself is what...80 bucks? For another 30 you get a nice full metal booby trap set..
Longhairedhippy
I think it'd be hard to make one yourself that's better. I think it's fairly priced.
Pegasus 1
The question i would ask if how do you justify buying one (though you do actually have to ask yourself that about all the airsoft stuff you buy...). I was very tempted by both this and the new airsoft claymore they have over at AS, but when considering when i would actually use it in the field, it would be a real pain to set it up, then collect again, unless you are skirmishing in one area the whole day, or are playing milsim with identified mission goals. Antagon
Well it's clearly a novelty device. Traditional airsoft grenades pretty much are as well.
Longhairedhippy
I'd rather use the spring claymore. seems like it would be far easier to set up and employ than to take the time to stop and fiddle with a bunch of tipod legs on what is a more directional weapon.
