banditos_burritos
My Buck Strider (AKA wish I could be like SS) Â The next three are all knives from my grandfather who was in WWII. If anyone knows anything about these knives that they could tell me that would be great. Â Â Â Also have a WWII bayonet from a German officer that I have to dig up. Sh0ty
Tanto? That's a bit long for a tanto. Â -Sh0ty
1cem4n
doesn't tanto refer to the point of the blade?
Sh0ty
It refers to the length, dagger sized.  -Sh0ty  EDIT: I'm Japanese, hence me recognizing it as a shorter blade. Edited June 24, 2007 by Sh0ty
AliceHKfan
refers to either or depending on context and location Yes a tanto is a type of Japanese knife/dagger, but to most it pertains to point type
KAHUNA_32
Has anyone shown as much interest in the benchmade HK 14440 Ally as I? Plus it is only $40! Edited June 24, 2007 by KAHUNA_32
gonzo1
Has anyone shown as much interest in the benchmade HK 14440 Ally as I? Plus it is only $40! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well it's got a big hole in the blade, which would go against all of my instincts, Benchmade or not.   Here's mine:  Twin Blades handmade fighting knife  Becker Knife and Tool Combat Utility 7"  Columbia River M16-12Z
Victory
I'm likin' the mouse pad.. Â Oh, and the knives are quite nice as well. Â -Vic
Azubi
I love the CRKT Sting. The sheath could be a little better designed as I find that pulling the knive can be a little difficult if you have it strapped tight. Â I also like my little CRKT Side Hawg.
Plymouth Roadrunner
Heres my 3 knives, a Folding Ka-Bar, the full size Ka-Bar, and the new USMC OKC-3S. Â Here's a cruddy one, but its good for size comparison. Â And heres a picture of my cat that snuck in my photo shoot... Â -RR

Victory
Plymouth Roadrunner, finally someone that owns a Ka-Bar MULE folder...how do you like it? I've been thinking of picking one up... Â -Vic
Plymouth Roadrunner
I like it a lot! I carry it around nearly everywhere I go, its nice. When I first got it it was bigger than i expected, unfolded it only about an inch shorter than a normal Ka-Bar, but you get used to it. Id really suggest getting it, its cheap, and built like a rock. Only thing I don't like about it, is that its made in China.

I'll have a price range of around $40 for a good knife...debating between this and a Columbia River folder...or somethin' else. Â Suggestions welcome. Â -Vic
Lord Blackgoat
I have nothing but praise to say about all of my CRKT, especially the Kit Carson designs. The next one I'm getting will most probably be a M16EDC of some sort: cheap, discreet enough, and with the Carson flipper, which makes me think that I won't be able to go back to any other kind of folder. It makes the opening as fast as an automatic, with a little practice!

CT Yankee
Well, the UPS man came the other day and brought my new Benchmade 615 mini-Rukus. This knife is awesome! Â
Albert E.
Hi. Â Does someone know what the knife is what is used by Jean Reno in M:I? Â Screenshots: Just for info: In the movie it is a folder knife but at the CGI it seems they forgot to make the chink for the blade. Â Does that knife exist anyway? If not, is there a knife that looks similar?

hitmanNo2
That M:I knife looks really un-ergonomic. I doubt it's real. Looks like they just bunged a blade on a frying pan handle or something.
CT Yankee
Nice BM. I want the big one . <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  My first reaction when I opened up the box was that they had shipped me the 610 instead of the smaller 615. It is still a very big knife, to the point where I wouldn't want it any bigger for pocket carrying.
