Guinness
excellent as usual Grim!...! Really has that 'in the sandbox' look and feel- well done!
chris u'5
Agreed! I actually saw some pics recently of a US Army M4 and it looked amazingly similar to your M4 Did you do anything in particular to achieve that look or did you just use it
GRIM!
Thx When i got it it was sprayed really wild with tan so i removed/Rubbed most of it but left some at the cournes as you can see and then i sprayed a new layer of brown over and on other places. Might add some more on the aimpointmount and rearironsight since they are added after the paintjob.
rws591
That's pretty funny, and if you meant to do it(which I am sure you did ), pretty creative.
SEADOG
Love you pistol you have there Must get one for myself
Maekl
A little bit different kind of battle worn : D My reddot got a hit from Tm ak47 from 3 meters. Luckily it has a built in glass made protective lens which shattered and nothing happened to the main lens. So it still works just fine and I kind like how it looks now. It has been like that for 6 months and I have gotten so used to it that I rarely even notice it when aiming.

1st Commando
Some of mine after a bit of abuse Most of this is real wear / rust . Our rifles get well used and also knock against each other during transport etc as we generally take 20 rifles for 5 of us Loads more pics here http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r273/1stCommando/
Kamigawa
That AKS 74u looks absolutely fantastic. Are you sure its all real wear? What brand is it?

chris u'5
I don't really want to Krylon my M4 but I'd like that 'sandbox' look for my rifle:D I'd like to create the illusion of sand in all the nooks i.e. the grooves in the pistol grip, vertical grip, the RIS etc. Any suggestions on how to achieve this? Or would it be as simple as grabbing a handful of sand and rubbing it on my rifle! Edited April 13, 2009 by chris u'
Zmarre
G&P XM177, slightly worn.
WL-Matt
1st Commando, your AKS is awesome. a little to worn for my tastes but It definitely looks like real tear and wear instead of scotch bright pads.
1st Commando
Cheers mate . Unfortunately the rust and wear beeing real means I have to use gun oil to keep the frame from rusting all the time
TheMerchantOfVenice
Macro+Wear and Tear=delicious. Some real, some fake.

mr_foxhound
Mine has rust on it, and mine isn't real I also have a real ak47 magazine with rust on it and it looks very nice. I wish we could replicate the effect in airsoft, i want something like this just leave it under water for 2 years lol
pikuinhas08
just leave it under water for 2 years lol theres no need for that... just paint it like rust... I have done that in mine and even as that gain feel of rust... cheers
