Fingers A.R.S.E.
A.R.S.E. was my old airsoft team. Advanced Recon Strike Element, we made the name to be like that on purpose. That team is long gone now. Â Thanks guys, I took the idea from my good friend hunk. Not sure if we both did the same concept to get the look or not. I love having a gun that looks like its been through hell, it gives it some character. Yea I spend a lot of money on airsoft stuff, but whats the use if its going to sit in my room and look all clean an pretty. Â Heres a couple old pics i dug up. The m4 wasn't that beat up in that pic but it got plenty of abuse. Â Edited December 24, 2009 by Fingers A.R.S.E.

alston251
Ouch that hurts. Is the Aimpoint real steel?
Scharf
funny, both of these things could be saved by a piece of polycarbonate worth a few pennies
Agent Hunk
Ouch that hurts. Is the Aimpoint real steel? Â Far as I know he uses a ACM one. Â I need poly carbonate for my 6P and GTL10s...
[BS]_MARS
Thankfully it's Chinese. Yes, some polycarbonate would have saved the lenses, but I so rarely played CQB until recently that I didn't really think of it, then one day I noticed, oh hey, my lenses are shattered. Awesome! alston251
Do you think the rubber cover for the T-1 can save it? Since the front cover is thicker than the rear one. Well it is on mine at least. Edited December 25, 2009 by alston251
Pkekyo-Nor
There's limits to how much you can 'wear' a polymer body, but since people are posting pictures of dustjobs all over this thread I reckon this one qualifies as well: Â

The Crunchy Bunny
Lulz my CYMA AKM. Note lots of E-Tape My stock completely shattered at a private skirmish, so I used a stick as a brace and half a roll of E-tape to fix it However, it only kinda works. In Addition, a failed attempt at removing the orange tip lead to a broken front sight. Also, not in the picture is my cracked reciever, my dustcover being held on by tape and brute force, and countless chips and deep scratches in the body. Â However, it still performes flawlessly. Pretty good for a CYMA Edited December 31, 2009 by The Crunchy Bunny
TheKurodaVagrant
Well, I have to take the cover off you see through it. Â You can still use a red dot with the front lens cover on and both eyes open. Binocular vision is a wonderful thing, your brain will map the images together and still give you a decent sight picture.
bbondaloose
Â Now, That's how you treat an AK. Put it through hell. Is all the wear real?
The Crunchy Bunny
Most of it is yeah. The large wear spots on most of the front end is fake, or started off as such. And the rear sight block has been drybrushed, I used it as a test area. But the wear on the reciever and everywhere else is real, mostly from being slung and rubbing on my gear. aznriptide859
Question for those who have "fake" wear. I want to do it to a plastic TM M733 body, yet I've searched around and can't find a guide (I looked in Guinness' weathering guide, but it doesn't go over how to do a fake wear look over plastic receivers). I remember reading somewhere a long time ago, that one would need to dry brush areas of the receiver that would be worn, or, use a sponge, dab some silver paint, and lightly go over the worn area. Â Which is correct, and if anyone has a link, I'd be grateful
DFM56
the first few pages of the painted guns thread on ASR have some decent info on wear, including a nice job done to a stock TM body

GnGArmament
My CQC field is really dusty, its hard to tell how dirty the gun got without comparison to a new one, but on the bottom pic you can see that my old magazine is a lot dirtier then my brand new one. I think it makes for great natural wear

Invaderchris
Through a lot of use and beating, my HFC M190 looked pretty beat up already. So I thought, why not make it look "good" battle-worn? I think you can tell the real battle-worn parts from the filing. Â
