IronWolf
I think its the ugliest ak ive ever seen
rhino
I've never liked the side folders on an AK. I think the skeleton stock on Marui's AK-47s is much better.
nmcabecadas
Side fold its much more stable and reliable than the older AK-47S system and in real guns the difference its huge when firing. The side folding was an obvious evolution and the solution for all the problems around the skeleton stock.
SpiKe64
this is airsoft were talking about though the aks74u stock is better
nmcabecadas
The stock from the AKS-74U and the AK-47S are different. The AKS-74U model its techically similar to the side folding from the AK-104.
Tripod
And I hope the ICS AK74M will have a side folding stock. I love all of these AK conversions haha! Keep it up! I won't be getting one though, I'll be keeping my AK47 rather stock.
SpiKe64
well no the ak47s and the aks74u bolth have wire frame side folding stocks they are more similar than the ak104 full folding stock is technically in a class of its own
nmcabecadas
well no the ak47s and the aks74u bolth have wire frame side folding stocks they are more similar than the ak104 full folding stock is technically in a class of its own The stock of the AK-47S turns down, not side. Check a few pictures or just go to the TM website. The AKS-74U have the same mechanism as the AK-74M as both guns share the same rear trunion.
sp00n
I dont like the gas tube on the 104 series.
SpiKe64
ah ok watever wat do i know having never owned an ak all the pics iv seen of the ak47s the stock looks like its folded to the side but w/e
Catchv22
My friend definitely needs to get a side folder like that one. I mean large battery, and side folding! Who can say no to that?
kronic
Its the AKS-74M for me. I may buy a 103/74m/104 folding stock off them though. Then i'll get the AKSU when it comes out. Anyways who carse about the AK-104 LOOK LOOK!!! those mag kits!!!! *drools* For those of you who aren't stupid AK fanatics: Real 7.62X39 bakelite mags are harder to get hold of than a piece of the moon! (excluding the acres of moon you can buy) AK-104 I don't know if it'll have a large battery, the wires couse get pinched in the folding mech...... also how the hell did they fit the folding mech in it?!?! Place bets on the next model, my guess is the AK-103 or AKSU. Reason fo the AK-103 is if they sold it as an AK74M less people would buy the Guarder bakelite mag kits. SpiKe64
thier next one better be the aks74u iv been waiting for it ever since i got into airsoft...... i suck at being patient
Dodger_013
I am really happy to see the 104 actually, though I had thought they would have done the 103 first since they already had the conversion for it without the receiver but I would prefer the 104 over that one cause it is shorter and as I am currently looking to make a carbine style rifle it suits me perfectly,I just want the less curverd mags for the 101 and 102,the 5.56 versions. Schlangsky
This is another very nice kit, thank god there's guarder in the airsoft scene ... what would we all be without it
SpiKe64
probly be stuck with our ak47's ak47s' and spetznaz's
kronic
I'm suprised the AKSU didn't come out after the AK74, it was in the promo picture. I'm hoping the AKSU comes out ages away, so i don't miss the chance to buy it!
SpiKe64
same here since im broke as a joke
kronic
Well i'm not broke, i'm saving for the AKS74M... i'll be broke just after Crimbo though!
Longhairedhippy
With a large battery inserted and the stock folded, this gun will be horribly off balance. blech.
Catchv22
Don't act like a moron... It's a joke. Stop blowing on the sparks, you'll start a fire. I honestly think this is great. It's a folding stock that adds aesthetics, with the advantages of a large battery. Nothing wrong with that... There's no rule that says if you want a folding/retractable stock that you have to sacrifice battery capacity.
kronic
If the battery goes in the stock then thats great. It won't be all that off balanced.....I'm putting my GP-30 on the AKS74M, now that will be off balanced!
Longhairedhippy
I wasn't aware that I was acting like a moron. with that said, It just seems to me like it would be odd to have the weight of a large battery situated mainly in the back-left corner of the gun. I could be wrong, but i would have to hold one to be sure.
Catchv22
Notice how your 2nd Amendment post was deleted? Try not to act like... 'that' And who would keep their stock folded while using the weapon? It's for aesthics of being able to retract the stock for storage and such. It's just a nifty feature. I'd rather have one that could fold and take a large battery than one that was fixed. It's just a nice thing to have no matter how unimportant it seems.
