I was wondering that. It looks okay externally, but has anybody managed to make it, well, useable?

 

Yeh, rip the action out and replace it with a BAR10. Cut a slot for the magazine and mount the hop unit inside. B'stardise the bolt handle and back of the cylinder detailing on if you can.

 

Basically, gut and refill. Its a lot of work, but one of the few ways it'll become a contender.

Yep I do that. Like you said its a lot of hard work but it turns out very nice once you've finished it and definitely can become a competitor.

I think the Dboys Kar98 could be an ok gun if the shells worked more smoothly, if it was used a very realistic WWII skirmish such as one where both sides only used rifles with a few machine guns as support, and if the shells were cheaper(maybe plastic shells).
