Lone_Bullet
since I have been re-directed here... Question for your Retro / Vintage / Old School webbing users! I'm looking into a Stalker ( the game ) build and I've chose to use a webbing. Now Flecktarn.co.uk and ASMC.de are my only 2 websites I've found old webbing systems, and they do not carry AK pouches ( I don't thing the G36 pouches will shut close, will they? ) They're also made by Miltec, and I despise that company. So where can I get rugged/ decent old webbing which can accept AK mags? I would prefer faded OD, an old camo type ( like german WO II ) or Tan. I will try and run trough flea-markets
Lerch
I already PM'ed you, but it's good for anyone else wondering; Check out SMERSH, it's a Russian beltkit that is built similar to the newer 'airborne' webbing.
spetsnazdave87
Nice bit of tailored plce got off ebay last week
Arghoslent93
Nice work. I haven't used my PLCE in absolutely ages, might dig it out and have a tinker with it, ready for my next skirmish on Saturday. I've been so used to using my Warrior 901 rig that I've forgotten how fun PLCE is to use. Just out of interest, what's that thick cable I often see wrapped round the pouches on a PLCE loadout? Bungee cord?
nickberry66
Bungee cord? Yup. Keeps the webbing tight to the wearers body and stops the pouches from flapping about when they run. Got to love squaddie mods!

TerranCmdr
Quick question for anyone here... the belts that don't have a harness on them: how do they stay up? I always thought they might easily fall down. I'm planning on getting a belt to go with my RRV but I'm not sure if I should get one with a harness or not.
aznriptide859
Most of the time it's friction; if it's not, it's your beer belly XD.
colwombat
If you don't plan on strapping a lot to it, you'll be fine without suspenders. With my HSGI belt I had a SERPA drop leg, 2 spare mags, GP pouch and dumper on it and had no issues with it sagging.
binarypunisher
If you use a good belt (I dont include the HSGI one in that category) you will be fine without suspenders as long as you dont totally overload it.
Wingmann
Place it correctly over your hips and adjust. It should stay there given there's no excessive weight. Just today I used the straps in the RRV to link the two. That'll also work
TerranCmdr
You can do that? Awesome! Thanks for the input guys. I'm planning on a dropleg, a canteen, dump pouch, frag pouches and a general purpose.
TheFull9
That may end up being a fair bit of weight, it's hard to say really until you try it but I think that could end up potentially being rather uncomfortable after a days' skirmishing. Considering they're fairly cheap and don't really add any weight or bulk to your gear I'd be using suspenders with that lot, obviously folks on here have different preferences but personally I like to be able to distribute a bit of the weight to the shoulders. TerranCmdr
Yeah, definitely was thinking about suspenders for all that but if I can attach it to the bottom of the RRV I'm set.
PianoBlack
While not as gucci as a Crye belt, I'm really impressed with it and the pouches. I hope to be using it at a carbine class this summer. -Piano
