Corporate_Black_Ops
If your hardware stores aren't sufficiently well stocked then try an engineering supplier like Oddbolt. Just be certain you know what you're asking for: ISOmectric coarse thread M2.5x0.45 is probably what you're after (core diameter 1.948, pitch 0.45) but 6 or 7 BA come close to 2.5mm OD. Hairy
UK? Try Yellow Pages for fastener suppliers - they usually have a trade counter that will sell individual set screws. Warning: if you use an HT screw and thread an expensive casting, thebn it's the casting that'll need replacing. Just a thought. For some screws - particularly metric fine, then electronics stores can be vry good; the downside is that you'll usually end up with something cadmium-plated, rather than black.
