sandstorm
The 'softing side is small peanuts here, I think. The real money moves in toys and models, I suspect... The model kit industry almost died out when US aerospace manufacturers started demanding license fees for making their fighter plane model kits, ecah manufacturer wanting bigger slice of the money being made. I think, in the end, the model industry decided to branch out and make less of the heavily-licenseable models and more of the 'rare' kits. I have seen more of 1920's-1940's era Finnish plane kits than there existed real planes of said series... What this could mean for airsoft, if same approach was taken, would be runs of small-manufacturer 'odd' guns, like American-180 or Calicos... But if this law passes, it'll be neat for the military designations becoming 'free' for toy and 'soft manufacturers to use.
