Is it easy to put the gearbox in? Is it more comfortable to hold? I'm thinking of changing my G&G out for one of those and upping it to sniper specs. colonel_kipper
The stock's great, a really solid bit of kit. Feels much like the G&G M14 sturdiness. The gearbox is easy to put in - you need to install the supplied motor as the DMR stock requires a slight angle change in comparison to the stock M14. I'm not sure whether the G&G gearbox is entirely compatible, though. Cheers

iloveics
you have an MVD patch on your arm I meant in what way was the vest adjustable. I know it looks MVD I was under the impression that my patch was spetsnaz. I got it from RusMil, it was under the spetsnaz section.

1st Ranger
I use my old Specialty Defense R.A.C.K. that I kept when I left the Army. I have enough pouches to hold up to 10 M-4 standards and 4 M203 rounds, plus 1 utility pouch and 1 1-Qt canteen pouch to carry any other MEE needed. Even though I have M-4 pouches on there, they work reasonably well with G36 and AK-74 magazines; I just can't carry as many (1 mag per pouch vs 2 for M-4 mags). I haven't found a use for all the hand grenade pouches I have beneath the mag pouches, but left them in place anyway. Some habits are hard to let go of. Maybe if the AI grenades turn out to be worth it, I'll have a use for at least one of them. Here's exactly what its made up of: SD RACK bib with original shoulder straps replaced with Vietnam era H-harness straps (much more confy) 5 M-4 magazine pouches 5 hand grenade pouches 4 single 40mm grenade pouches 1 1-Qt canteen pouch used as utility pouch 1 Tactical Taylor bleeder pouch also used as utility pouch (It was once used for its intended purpose, but since I no longer have a need to carry a bleeder kit, so it carrys extra crud now ) I've often wondered if the real reason I got into AS was just to find a use for all the gear I whored while still in the Army. 1st Edited for spelling Edited February 16, 2008 by 1st Ranger
