Ha. If you bothered to read my post and not fixate on the tampons immediately, you would've read:

I didn't notice the tampons until I was uploading the photos onto photobucket. By then, I was already out of all my gear :rocket: (I always seem to find errors in my photos once I've put all my gear/guns away).

I thought about editing or blacking it out in MS paint, but I was too lazy. All is good though, I had a laugh when I saw it at first as well " *sigh*, does my weapon look cool enough? Maybe I should've put a meaner look on my face. Oh well, that helmet makes it look much coole....what the fruck is that a box of tampons?! *face palm*"

lol @ tactitampax, don't sweat it though :)

looks good, but i'd ditch the AN/PEQ module, those scream out "military" to me, plus iirc they are restricted, so i donn't think they would get in the hands of regular PMCs, though i could be wrong about that.

My collie sliced off one of the pads on her paw when we were out walking one Sunday.

I managed to carry her back home but blood was actually everywhere.

I got hold of a vet and he said to use a sanitary pad on the wound, that was the first time I had ever heard or thought of using one on such injuries but it worked a treat.

Pretty pointless story but I thought I would share it :P

Unfortunately she is dead now....no, not of blood loss but of old age.

Her name was Holly, if anyone is interested :D

Anyone got experience with 5.11 Tactical Vest and LBE Belt + Pouches ?

I've just got a 5.11 LBE. No belt though, already had a belt. I've fitted it with (so far!) 4xviper double mag pouches (fits 1x g36 mag!), my 6004 on a molle plate, radio pouch and grenade pouch. All black. Have a hydro carrier on the back but it's a TT OD one, need to get a black one! It's really cool, anyway (in both senses of the word)...BigD was admiring it only the other night!

Oo now i feel like a but. Sorry if i hurt your feelings. Go for a breaching a room type instead of standing in the room. It would look a lot cooler.

4) As for the holster, it'll be a 6004. I wanted a hip holster originally so I could draw it much easier in a car for realism, but most contractors I've seen have a thigh holster (usually the 6004). The reason is that the holster/pistol would hit the bottom of my vest. So that wouldn't work obviously because there's no room, and not to mention that it would slow down the draw of my pistol because of the pouches/vest. So for now, I'll probably just keep it in the magazine pouch so I can still draw it easily. As for the pistol magazine pouches, I personally prefer to have all my primary mags down on one level, and then the pistol mags on another level. Keeps it more organized for me when I'm reloading.

Honestly, I'd recommend a SERPA with the STRIKE platform attached to the front of your vest if you're going for the convoy rider look. It is not easy to draw from inside a vehicle from either the hip or the thigh. Alternatively, while you're in the vehicle, rotate your Safariland up to the top of your thigh for easier access.

I've just tried this with my 6004 on my new vest and i really like it.

Sturgis: Yeah, didn't really have a choice there. I didn't want to or rather I don't have the time/patience/funds to get a crane, new battery, and rewire, so I had to stick with the PEQ. I thought it was restricted to Law Enforcement and Military, but somebody should check that. I dunno, since some Contractors like to do VIP escorts during the night for obvious reasons, NVG's and PEQ's didn't seem too off to me. Maybe during the Summer once I'm done with High School i'll have time to transition over to a Crane.

darkwolf0982: lol, I wasn't offended, it's all fun. Haha yeah, I did want to have one of me prepping to enter a room ( lol by myself, loner contractor), but it didn't seem too realistic. Unless I would be busting into the room with my mouth open screaming "GIVE ME BACK MY VIP!" and it'd be the box of tampons being held hostage

CerberusCO: You have no idea how tempted I was. I really wanted the Serpa + the mount platform onto my chest replacing my admin. It was much cheaper than going the Safari way. The reasons were because I've heard of problems with the Serpas (only regarding RS though), so that sort of put me off (i'm incredibly anal about stuff like that). Also I saw more Contractors (or what I've seen) with the Safariland 6004. Back in the first PMC thread, I remember reading that yes that they do rotate the holsters onto the top of their thighs. I've drawn my pistol via the pouch while in the Jeep, and it seemed fine (although not the fastest way since I have to flip open the velcro), but it still worked fine. So yeah, I'm still thinking of maybe going the Serpa route (I think it looks cooler as well, and I've seen a video on YouTube with Contractors from Erinyes with the pistol mounted to their chest via Serpa).

Well hopefully i'll get other pictures later on this week. They'll probably look about the same, but I'm going to try it with a balaclava, long sleeve black tee, and a seperate one for a cold winter loadout with a balaclava and a jacket. Other than that, it'll just have a better background.

Sarge: Yeah, still trying to finish my M4 for now (or m468 rather) so gloves aren't on the top of the list, but I'll get to it.

TCB: Ha, I actually do have a bala. I'll probably get a picture later on this weekend with the balaclava.

Matt:

1) Eotech 552

2) Yes :D

3) Yeah I hear you on that. I had my MICH on good, but my tripod broke so I spent about 30 minutes in all my gear trying to set up the damn camera.

4) As for the holster, it'll be a 6004. I wanted a hip holster originally so I could draw it much easier in a car for realism, but most contractors I've seen have a thigh holster (usually the 6004). 1) Hells yes. Excellent choice. :D

2) Haha. While they're alright for that, your feet are important! No biggie, but if I was you I'd go for some Converse desert boots later, even with the jungle styled loadout. Personal opinion, but I need good boots or endurence doesn't mean *beep* in the middle of a game.

3) Ah. Understandable. Again, no big thing man. Just little picky details.

4) 6004 would be very nice. When you do get it, have it practically wrapped around to the front of your thigh, if you get what I'm saying. That way, you can easily get in and out of vehicles, as well as drawing it from inside a vehicle. The pouch arangement is personal choice, and that sounds like a pretty good theory to me.

Sounding pretty good. :)

Yeah I know, I already mentioned that to CerberusCO. Dunno, I'm thinking of just screw what the geardos say, and just buy the damn Serpa attached to my vest. Although I do plan on posting my loadout once I get better pictures, their gonna all give me $hit about the Serpa. I mean I don't really wanna wear my holster on the top of my thigh, looks kind of ridiculous, and not to mention it looks like it would be hard to draw from that position. Might as well keep it in my pouch if I were to do that right?

I was thinking of this:

Thanks ghost x3. No hard feelings right? Im working on a PMC kit. Just dont know what to go with. A eagle plate carrier with cumberbund or a blackwater plate carrier with cumberbund? Any suggestions guys?

Buy the cheepest from the likes of E hobby & if it doesent feel right, buy the next one, selling off the old vest till you fine one that works for you.

Though TBH, I have a BHI plate carrier that looks&Feels pretty good, just a shame its green rather than Tan/Coyote.
