r.ocelot
Haha, thanks guys (funny how Husky's the only one in this thread to notice the flute, again), I was actually going to build another one, but I guess I got a little bored. Detonics coming up!
Romulus
Wow, 7" Hardballer to a Detonics. That's about as radical a change as you can have with 1911's. Be fun to see what you end up doing with it though.
BigAl
Hardballer Slide and Barrel on a Para Ordnance Frame would be interesting.
Davos
Makes me want to go down stairs and play Hitman on my 360 Elite. Mmmmm Hardballer.

Husky
that looks really cool with the bobbed hammer.
BigAl
Don't see the point in a bobed hammer, is not exactly a concealable pocker pistol know is it?
r.ocelot
Hammer bite, bro.
SamJacksonFan
Well, to prevent hammer bite you could consider another kind of hammer, maybe commander one, egg hole or other rounded design. Without any hammer this big AMT looks a bit uncomplete with the classic 1911A1 gripsavety piece. On a Detonics it could be considerable, but here to the 1911 fan's eye there is definitely something missing … but kind of a smart move to do that … it's like releasing a new car model … there are people who like the new design and the ones that have a big dislike and want to stick with the old ones they're used to
r.ocelot
None of the hammers you listed will fit, unless I mod either the grip safety or the hammer itself. Edited February 2, 2008 by r.ocelot
SamJacksonFan
Well, that's a point. I still miss the hammer tough … and I very well know about the problem … my 1911 bites me a lot, thoug I like her
r.ocelot
That aside, there are no pics on this page, so: Gives you an idea of how thin and long these things are:
berkelsk
I really like the way those grips look on it. Those are the American Legends correct? Not a huge fan of the hardballer itself but thats a nice looking replica.
r.ocelot
Thanks, and yes, they're the American Legend grips. I absolutely hate them.
berkelsk
The looks or the feel?
r.ocelot
Both. I fail to see the appeal in these grips. Then again, this is just the opinion of a guy with girly hands.
