BP-anon
anyone have a black hawk down-style M14 (the guy who was trying to secure the second crash)? Long m14, non-aimpoint red dot on a low rail by the stock, and stock + heatsheild painted a dusty desert scheme? Saw the movie today, it looked pretty kickass

tom lawson
the selector leaver thing has snapped again but this time the thing on the right hand side snapped clean and i cant find the broken part and now its stuck on semi auto not that bad i guess but who else has had these problems. Yeah that happened to me as well I'm not too bothered, it works well on semi, but it would be nice to have the option of full auto
Fellowz
yeah thats true, but its supposed to be a sniper rifle and knowing that you cant have full auto is good in a way, use less ammo haha.
babuka
not that bad i guess but who else has had these problems. Had no problem with selector lever so far, but got Steel Reinforced parts for that from HK already, just in case. So, you can do the same =)
Fellowz
i have a steel leaver on the left but i never knew there was one for the right?

Foolio
hey guys! just painted my m14 (see pics below) but i was wondering if i should throw a clear coat on it when its done? i noticed krylon makes a matte finish spray ( http://www.krylon.com/products/matte_finish/ ). would that help significantly? Delta14
would it be better for me to get a Kart/Echo 1 EBR or get the G&P kit, considering I already have a TM M14?
Jetser200SX
I keep looking at them, but I can't see what makes EBRs so popular. A nice attempt at modernizing an older piece of equipment yes, but it ruins the whole look of the M14 and puts it off balance. Edited June 9, 2008 by Jetser200SX
Carter
Agreed. I can't for the life of me see what the advantages are.
scooberoo
we're sorry it ruined the look for you. lol. anyway, it's purpose as I see it is for sniping / dmr. you won't need balance that much when there's a bipod, vert grip,a huge long range heavy weight day/night optics on it, plus some IR designators and flashlights , and oh you can mount NVG on it as well. try doing that with the old wooden m14
SpoonMan
would it be better for me to get a Kart/Echo 1 EBR or get the G&P kit, considering I already have a TM M14? Well, the majority echo1/kart EBR's that I've seen have been known to crack Along the mag well. Also its my understanding that the Echo1/Kart EBR's weigh a bit more than the G&P. However, there is a large price gap between the two. For the price of the G&P you could easily purchase a replacement Echo1, which would yield a replacement gearbox and other various parts. Personally, I'd go for the G&P if I had the money.
Dahmer45
Anyone else had the problem with their echo 1/kart EBRs where the pistol grip and stock assembly come loose and pulls away from the body when shouldered? I'm sure it's just a loose screw somewhere but I can't locate the damn thing.
