SpoonMan
That's the strange bit, I compared the gearbox with a foto of a cyma, and it looks the same to me. Also on an update: The range is horrible, Only 30 meters, hop up doesn't do anything. Pretty sad regarding the FPS measures. I think I will be putting a cyma or tm Socom in the stock. Also a little question do TM also have the hop up inside the magwel? I would recommend a Cyma, the TM is not worth the money. Trust me, I made that mistake.
NeoVeNoM
Well I am going to take the cyma, I still want to keep the price as low as possible, but the Kart gearbox really has some flaws. here is a pic of the GB As you can see, the trigger guard is lose. BTW is the Socom version of the same size if you don't take the stock and outer barrel into account?
Zmarre
BTW is the Socom version of the same size if you don't take the stock and outer barrel into account? Yes, they are.
my_plague_666
IIRC the kart and AGM GBs arent full clones, they use V2 gears or something like that. i'm sure i remember people saying they put TM or cyma internals into a kart EBR, so they should be compatible externally. NeoVeNoM
OK thank you guys. Here are some extra pics. Almost every screw was loose! As you can see, without the extra stock leveler, you kan use the iron sights without a problem. the butt of the stock is removed in the same way as with the P90. Spartan452
Are you gonna paint it the correct colors?
NeoVeNoM
Are you gonna paint it the correct colors? I will probably paint it, but not the correct colors. At least, I don't know yet. Another pic the bolt works, it didn't before.
RendyLatief
huh?? i thought Cyma was the one making the M14 with J allen stock.. anyone know why kart is the one that makes them ?
my_plague_666
... because it was kart that thought of it, not cyma? the whole cyma thing was just speculation IIRC, we were just told there would be an ACM JAE-100 stock, nothing more. rumors and speculation spread from there. RendyLatief
lol... didn't know bout that.. cause airsoftnews said that iw would be cyma.. thx for clearing that up.. :D
SpoonMan
How does that grip feel? Is it more like a pistol grip than the original m14 or is it fairly similar?
NeoVeNoM
How does that grip feel? Is it more like a pistol grip than the original m14 or is it fairly similar? Well, I haven't handled another m14 before. But I can tell you this. the grip is huge. And I find the desert eagle a comfortable pistol. So if you have little paws, it might not be the right m14 for you. oh en BTW, there is a cyma m14 on its way to replace the kart. internals. RUSHER2
hydre what make silencer is that? I'm thinking of getting the G&P for an ebr project i'm doing. Also do u have any other pictures of the gun? those silencers on a kart i know make it extremly quiet. even quieter than a p90 with a silencer!
NeoVeNoM
those silencers on a kart i know make it extremly quiet. even quieter than a p90 with a silencer! You do know its the piston that makes the noise, not the end of the barrel. so a silencer doesn't do much. My KART makes a lot of noise, as much as my 416. But the P90 is pretty quiet stock, plus it can be even quieter adding foam in the shell of te body. In other news, my cyma M14 socom has arrived. And it's a beauty, it makes a KART look like garbage. the metal is nice and smooth. The stock is firm and even with good textures.
-=OGGY=-
hi, this is to anyone who owns a G&P ebr kit: is there enough room in the battery area (or anywhere in that vicinity) to fit a MOSFET? here is the like to the paticular FET i'm thinking about so you get the idea of the size: http://extreme-fire.com/SW-AB-LONG.html Thanks, OGGY
Hammerfall
MOSFETs are REALLY small, i'm sure you could fit it in the battery area or there abouts quite easily
-=OGGY=-
That's what i'm thinking, but in all the pictures i've seen, space for the battery one the G&P kit is really, really tight. Edited December 18, 2008 by -=OGGY=-
Apache137
hey neo, hows the build on the stock? im thinking of buying one of those just for the stock so i could toss it on a tm socom16... do you think it would work? anyone feel free to chime in... NeoVeNoM
hey neo, hows the build on the stock? im thinking of buying one of those just for the stock so i could toss it on a tm socom16... do you think it would work? anyone feel free to chime in... I have my Cyma m14 socom now, and that what I am going to try. The rear of the stock is far from bad, the front lacks a bit of weight. Also it is alot thinner compared with the butt stock. Filling it a little with some material might solve that. Repainting it is advised but for the price, I would certainly try it. If G&P would come out with this stock it would probably cost 200USD or so. But as far as I know they don't have any plans for that.
